...so if I haven't replied to your comments, I will.
Today was a Jan term training day for the RA staff... endless hours of pointless icebreakers and ethical discussions. Plus, my boss called me at 9 am and told me that I was in charge of the programming discussion. Wow. Way to remember advance notice, Amanda. I improvised, so everything went fairly well. I got dinner out of the deal, and then we all went bowling. MY average for the night was 100- not too shabby if you're me.
Classes starting full time on Monday... most of the books bought. *sigh* Back to the 18.5 credits/semester grind. But on the plus side, I'll be singing again, doing Musical Theater/Opera Workshop. Hello, my voice, how I've missed you.
So this Sims thing? Becoming an obsession. My favorite part is building and furnishing the houses. I get to play Trading Spaces in miniature. I currently have 3 families:
Mike and I: Spice-colored bedroom, purple and white modern living room with a wall mural of Bettie Page, two glass side buildings with an altar for me and an art studio for Mike, pinup girl hallways, a full spa, and a catwalk that connects all three buildings from the second floors and circles the pool and koi pond.
Legolas and Aragorn (who are so in love): an all glass and wood house with a two-story wall mural and a full-out forest with stream. Legolas's room has an elven orb tv and an emerald green canopied lovebed, as well as a forest mural. Aragorn's is fit for a (still not) king, draped in dark woods and burgundy. Open shower, of course- and a horse in the back yard for impromptu rides.
Buffy and Faith: The smallest house of the three, with a red Asian-inspired living room, a gothic dining room, and a blue shag-art bedroom, as well as a funky orange modern bathroom. Outback guest house includes a white bedroom on the first floor and a training area on the second, including a holy water dispenser, a bookshelf with a crossbow cage, a karate station, and even a dormant Acathla in the corner.
Yes, I realize that I am crazy. But a fun kind of crazy. Heather has a shirtless Angel and a garishly-dressed Tara living together nearby. My next project: A house for Wes and Gunn. And maybe Lorne. Yes, I have a Lorne skin. Quit pointing and laughing.
I also have been downloading S2 episodes of Queer as Folk. So far, I've seen only the first two eps, but can I say that my heart is so brimming with Brian love. Really, he's my inner bastard, but... with Justin, being all gentle... and I'm big with the guh. Oh and Emmett? Em honey? I so missed you.
Also, on the Ats front...
