In other news, a freshman tried to tell me yesterday that when you teach Christianity from the bible, you're not teaching religion, you're teaching faith. I explained the difference between religion and faith using the example I'm most familiar with: Wicca (religion) Vs. Paganism (faith/spirituality). Then I countered that the bible is a religious doctrine and that the Christian church is organized and has recognized dominations, hence the designation of the term 'religion.'
