Today was a pretty satisfying day.

This morning afternoon, my roomates and I woke up and had a traditional Sunday brunch-- pancakes, eggs, bacon-- windows open and sunshine pouring in. They cooked, and I cleaned up, which was cool with me. I can only cook eggs to my own satisfaction.

We decided that the weather was so nice, we'd just take a drive. And so we drove to Gettysburg and drove to see more monuments in the daytime. We approached Devil's Den precisely at twilight-- it had an eerie beauty to the jagged rocks. I'd like to go up again in the spring, maybe have a picnic on Little Roundtop.

I did buy my flowers. I have a vase on my desk of lime green poms and white and yellow daisies, a big white mum thrown in for accent. They smell lovely, and they've whetted my appetite. I absolutely cannot wait until stargazer lilies are in season. Their scent is intoxicating to me.

I also got some fresh blueberries for breakfast, and a couple of ruby red plums. Red plums are delicious-- I think I'll have to get some more. The one that is left is sitting on my desk in a gorgeous Japanese-style bowl, waiting to be devoured. I wonder when I can get some pomegranates? I also got a few Cadbury Cream Eggs-- my favorite seasonal candy.

And my bulletin boards are up-- sigh of relief. I have a long day ahead, full of RA interviews and the like. I need to sleep now. And perhaps I'll have time to try a layout, but my computer isn't being cooperative. I cannot wait until it is fixed.

And yes, my neck feels better, Bridget. Still a little sore, but better, especially since I took some painkiller.

Also, I start going to the gym tomorrow.
Meep!
