But re: Oscar nominations?
The good: Keisha Castle-Hughes got a nod for Whale Rider. Eeeee! Rock on. She's not going to get it, but still, that was an excellent movie, and she deseves all the attention this nod will get her. And I need a Whale Rider icon.
The bad: Best Actor nods. LOTR was shut out. I'm not saying "Give Elijah an Oscar," because really, the boy had four facial expressions over the entire movie. But Sir Ian McKellen? Sean Astin? Someone should have gotten nommed.
There may be a post of some substance later. I haven't yet decided.
