I procrastinate a lot. I really, really do.

Tonight, I've done just about everything there is to do other than start reading that textbook on Roman history to a tape recorder. As it turns out, it is a paying gig, $6/hr. Not a lot, but hey, when I took the assignment, I wasn't aware it paid at all.

So I made icons. And browsed communities. I dyed my hair. I checked out LJDrama.Org. The big drama of the moment is people who want to be able to block certain people from friending them. Ordinarily, I get a big kick out of the site. But in this case, people are coming down hard one users who don't think that wanting this option is whiny and childish. It's basically becoming one big flame-fest. To put this in perspective, someone recently added me to their friends-of list solely to cause drama. It's not a hugely big deal-- my friends-of list was hidden to begin with.

And it's not like I can complain that PersonX is reading my journal. It is, after all, an online journal, and largely public. I just don't want to see a name I find offensive on my friends-of list everytime I hit my info page. I think bradfitz is taking a step in the right direction, so I put my two-cents in here. If this option is added, cool, but if it's not, I'll deal. I just don't see how people who would rather not see offensive names on their info pages are being the childish ones. I know it's just the internet and all that jazz, but I think this particular joke is more annoying and distasteful than amusing.

But anyway. I have RA training all day tomorrow, and then we're going out to dinner, followed by a trip to the aquarium. I love seeing the sharks gliding silently in their glass cages. None of the sharks at the Baltimore Aquarium are maneaters, but if you saw some of their teeth... they're so fascinating and beautiful.

Also, B-more people. I'm in charge of finding a good restaurant for Valentine's Day. I want to try something new. Recommend a great restaurant with a warm atmosphere, mid-price range, and relatively vegetarian-friendly. I may X-post this request tomorrow, responses pending.
