MONEY!@#*%(#
Oi.
So. I forgot about paying my phone bill because I got it in the mail the day before break. With overdue fees plus a few extra calls, the bill I remember being $8 is now $18. Which is fine and dandy except I have $13 in my wallet.
$18 will come back to me for RA reimbursements, but not until next week. Also, I get paid next week. I'm going to check to see if I have $10 in my debit account, and if I do, that'll solve that, and I'll just mail my holiday cards on Wednesday of next week.
I'd have $50 extra, but my mom only gave me half of what she owes me for this month's groceries, and she bitched about that. So I'm taking guesses as to wether I'll see the other $50. I'll bet she'll bitch and moan about how the holidays are coming up and I'm being greedy by asking her to honor her agreements. I'm sorry, but I'm not taking her for granted. I don't have a meal plan because I wanted to save us both money. In return, she agreed to give me $100 a month for groceries. It saves us $1500 in the long run. Apparently, she got all uppity about "You're not saving me anything. I don't have to give you anything. From the time I was thirteen, no one gave me anything..." So. My $50 leftover will be late if I get it at all, and I'll bet you she's not going to give me January's grocery money because she'll go, "Well, didn't I just pay??" And January is very important because that's when I buy spring schoolbooks. I can't afford to pay $100 extra out of pocket.
Okay.
But say everything works out.
I have about $235 worth of spending for Christmas. I think that covers everybody. I have an $18 dollar phonebill.
In the plus column, I have $280 pay on Wednesday, $50 owed to me by mom, another $50 debt coming in, my current $10, and a $20 RA reimbursement. Plus if there's anything left in my debit count, which could be about $15. I'm kind of afraid to check.
Plus Column:: $410
-Minus Column:: $253
--------------------------
$157
So. If I keep myself budgeted, I should have $157 left over at the end of the spending. If my mother doesn't pay for January groceries, that should help cover any financial bleeding. Or I'll wait two weeks into the semester for my February pay to buy a book or two, because I'm guestimating that books will be about $210-$250. Which wouldn't leave me with much left over.
!#()*#()*!@()*#)(!*#)(*#
I'll make it, but I'm very freaked. I hate that my mother's $100 is so crucial. And that she's not dependable about it.
