The Great Glittering

Slept in today. My brain really needed it.

The Great Glittering has begun, and I am starting the process of making and adhering the iridescent backs to the wire wing armatures, then adding the crystals. It is a time-consuming process. I think I have about 4 more full days of it, and then I can focus on making earwires and asking for help.

Glitter + cats is not an especially good mix. Day 1, Nox flew up out of nowhere and landed smack in the middle of a not-yet-dry glitter sheet. The noise I made scared the ish out of him, but thankfully it brushed off him pretty easily. Dopey cat. Feline love of my life, sometimes you are not that smart.

Speaking of Nox, my guy is four years old this month. I seriously do not know what I'd do without him. He's my shadow, my 17 lb cuddle monster, my house panther. He always needs to be near me or touching me or playing fetch with me. My soul kitty, you guys. I just wanted to take a moment to let it sink in just how much I love this goofy bastard and how much better he makes my life. I mean, this is a cat who wants to be on my lap so much that he puts up with me hammering the whole time. He is the best.

Okay, I need more coffee. Back to work. How much have I loved having the doors and windows open while I work, so I can get lots of fresh air? Because I think it's a lot. Yay Spring.
