Sometimes, a girl just has to dress up.
I'd been feeling kinda schlubby of late, what with the working 24/7 thing, and never really having any particular reason to not look like I just rolled out of bed. Not particularly good for my self esteem. So, I set aside a modest cash amount and went about fixing it.
First, I bought a new pair of shoes.
And then I brought a dress. Criteria: had to be warm enough to wear in Autumn. Bonus if it would look cute with sexy tights. Or work-safe tights, for that matter. The winner:
This one.
Aaaaaand, what cute legwear? So many options. I had grey cable-knit ones. Definitely more of a work look. Sheer black ones. Eeeeh, sexy, but not quite enough. Spiderweb ones. Saving them for Halloween. And then...
Theeeeese ones.
Add a black corset-belt, and bam. Very cute combo.
On Halloween, I plan to switch to spiderweb tights plus this hat:
Add a swipe of purple lipstick, and I'm gonna be the cutest witch in Pikesville.
As a side note, I have noticed SO MANY people with pink hair lately. Celebs all over the place. J and I had date day in White Marsh on Sunday, and I noticed no fewer than four other people on The Avenue with significant parts of their hair dyed pink. For once, I'm actually on-trend! Totally by accident, as I've had pink hair on and off since college, but still. :)
