I'm so tired of the two frat apartments across from mine partying all the time. It's college. I get that. But there is no need to host parties every single Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. There is no need to have idiotic guests who buzz every single buzzer on the callbox to get someone to let them in because they have no respect for the people they disturb at 2 am. There is no need to have throbbing bass that permeates levels of concrete and amplify the echoes of your bleached blonde female guests who yelp like brain-damaged poodles. There is no need to reassert that you do infact have a penis, however small, by bellowing incoherently every ten or so seconds.

I'm just sayin'.


In other news, I saw Gangs of New York. While most of the movie just kind of pissed me off, Heather's right, Daniel Day-Lewis was robbed of his Oscar. He was the one bright spot in an otherwise overdone movie. Also, it wouldn't have taken terribly long in post-production to have the towers fade at the end.

And to clean off the abject depression that clings after a movie about three times gorier than Braveheart, we watched an episode of Queer as Folk. I got a really nice surprise: my disc 3 from season 1 never ever worked. We popped it into Laura's player, and lo and behold, the gayboys abounded. I get to rediscover four episodes, and as Rac put it, yes, it's like Christmas for me. :)
