Internet down

Pikesville pretty much got flattened by the storms this weekend. We were up at the DMB concert in Hershey, PA, and just as they played their encore, the skies opened up. Driving south, we saw truly amazing lightning, but we skirted the worst of it. When we got back to Pikesville, it looked like a tornado had ripped through. Exits were closed and blocked off, there were trees in the middle of Reisterstown Road, and we actually had to get out of the car and clear a path back to our apartment. There must be a cell tower down, too, as I am getting almost NO signal in Pikesville proper.

By some miracle, we didn't lose power, though practically everyone else did. Other good news is that there was no structural damage that I know of, and the apartment compex's two semi-ferals got through it just fine. But I don't have internet, and there's no ETA on fixing it (I'm at my mom's right now to answer work emails and pay bills). Presumably, they want to get traffic lights working again first. We actually had to drive 20 mins to find a working gas station, and Target is running on a generator. Most other food stores and restaurants are flat-out closed.

(And that's just in the block around my apartment.)

Anyhow, if you don't hear from me for a few days, all is well. I may be perishing of boredom, but I've been meaning to get some books read anyhow.

But! I have pink hair. Well, its a deep, deep, moody magenta. And I luff it. I had to use my phone to take these, so the color is a little funky, but you get the idea:

Alright-- hope to be back online soon!
