Yay.
I've decided to get my lazy ass out of bed early on Tuesdays and Thursdays to audit a class that looks really interesting. It's Women in Religion, and it's a survey/case study course that will deeply touch on the Goddess movement and Goddesses/priestesses/holy women across cultures and time periods. Considering I won't have much time to work on my compendium this semester, it'll be a good supplement to my solitary studies. Doesn't hurt that I already have one of the texts and have read it cover to cover.
Also of the good: We're gonna have an in-class Samhain party! How cool is that?? The teacher's also going to invite in a Wiccan witch to talk to the class, and I'm all about that. Networking and all. We're also covering things I know some about but not a lot, like Native American, Hindu, and African belief systems.
We also get to go to the Walter's Art Gallery on a field trip to see the Goddess art exhibit there. And we get to watch A Price Above Rubies, which I saw before and have been meaning to see again.
The bad: 8:20 AM. Which means I have to get up at 7:20. Considering I have an early class M/W/F, I was looking forward to sleeping in! Ah well. I only have a 10-11:30 class next from September-October, so I can always come back to my room @ 10 and sleep until 1. Also, as an auditor, I don't have to write the papers or take the exams. Score.
Also bad: I need to get some coffee filters or I will be spending a rediculous amounts on "instant human, just add coffee" this semester if I keep going to the new campus coffee spot.
