Olive update
Had to call and bump up Olive's vet appt to first thing tomorrow morning. She's been having a hard time emptying her bladder - she went from CONSTANTLY peeing to barely at all. She does empty quite a lot when we wash her every night, and when I wipe her down in the morning, but when we put her in the litter, nothing at all.
She was totally active and normal until yesterday. Today, she's still eating fine, but she was hiding under the bookshelf and wouldn't come out for treats, then hissed at me when I reached under for her. Not good. So, tomorrow, to the vet. Until then, pain meds in case she is in pain. I pulled her cat bed into the office so I could keep an eye on her, and she's dosed up and snoozing. I've been mixing extra water into her wet food to help her out because she hasn't really seemed interested in the water bowl... but considering she's not getting any dry food anymore, she doesn't really need a lot.
Considering she's still emptying her bladder when we clean her, I'm hoping it's not a life-threatening blockage, or if it is a blockage, they can take care of it. God, it might be expensive. I might cry because dude, we were just digging out of the hole and I just paid for some big expenses that I've wanted for a long time (tattoo, professional dance photos). It just seems like every time we start being okay, we get a huge vet bill. I'm not ever going to let money be the deciding factor in Olive's care, but seriously, I am panicking.
It's been two years of worrying about Olive. It's starting to wear me down and make me panicky and ugh. I just want her to be okay.
