Come on, Irene.

Irene: We were a lot luckier than a lot of people I know. One person on my friendslist had a giant tree fall on her house and stab through her roof in several places. The worst we got was several downed trees, including the one above, one building down from me. We had a few downed trees behind the house, as well. But we didn't lose power. I am a little shocked about that, considering how easily we usually do lose power. Also, I checked on our neighborhood feral, an 11 year old eartipped black female kitty named Jadie, and she's doing just fine.
Tattoo: I went down for a consultation with Liaa yesterday, and I am getting the giant oblique tattoo at the end of September. She says that if I can sit for 5 hours, she can do it in one sitting. I am nervous, but I'm going to attempt it. Otherwise, we'll split it in two.
Olive: Olive seems to be doing a lot better. She certainly has better bladder control after we started meds, and I haven't seen blood since Saturday. She's back to cuddling with us at night, albeit with a towel under her, and I think all of the extra TLC is helping as well. Still waiting to hear back from the vet with the official test results, but considering how well she's responding to UTI meds, I'm willing to bet that's what it is. RELIEF.
Work: I had an EPIC battle with a piece of gallery bezel wire last night. It would. not. solder. No matter how clean it was. No matter how evenly heated or how evenly the flux was applied, etc etc. FINALLY, I got the little bastard at 1:30am. And the ammolite cab sitting in it right now is BEAUTEOUS, OMG. I also purchased five pieces of labradorite with purple flash, and they should arrive in two weeks or so. EXCITED.
Matters corporeal: SO. TIRED. Have not felt rested in days, despite sleeping for 12 hours Friday night. Too much going on in the brainpan.
