1. Listen to what I tell you and don't assume I'm playing games with you about what I really want. Like I told J recently, if you keep asking me the same question over and over because you assume I'm not telling you the truth about I want, I'll answer honestly time one and two. Time three, I'll tell you whatever you want to hear, then walk away. That shit's annoying.

2. Aside from treating me well, treat others well. I think, in general, how one treats service professionals & people lower on the social totem pole speaks way more to their character than how they treat their SO.

3. Don't be afraid to be smart and talk about complicated topics. Smart does not equal boring, but clueless and uninformed certainly says "lazy and temporary" to me. Winning my heart has a lot to do with occupying my mind.

4. Cook for me. I can't cook, but I still try. The simple act of feeding each other forms a nice bond, and an oft-overlooked one. Share a meal, and pick out a good wine.

5. Be geeky, but still know how to dress yourself in a flattering way and bathe. I love geeks. Star Wars, zombies, ninjas, the whole nine yards. But I don't like the unwashed geek stereotype, and I won't make out with someone who smells like they haven't done laundry in two weeks.

6. Take an interest in things that are important to me. Know what I'm talking about when I'm talking about bellydance. Watch my favorite movie with me. Peek in while I'm making jewelry. You know, validate my likes with some of your attention, basically.

7. I am a sucker for massages. I'm just sayin'.

8. The sex has gotta be more than just sex. You have to be in my head, too. You gotta push my buttons.

Okay. I woke up reaaaaaally late, but then again, I was up 'til 3. I am going to do a couple of 'round the apartment things, then soak in the tub for a bit. I think I am FINALLY seeing the new HP tonight.
