Boo.
Went to Aldo today to try on the boots in my last entry. MASSIVE disappointment. Glad I did not just order online. They didn't have much stiffness/reinforcement up the leg/calf, and as such looked weird and elephant-wrinkly instead of chic. Which... some boots are meant to be slouchy and wrinkly. It's a thing. Not my thing, but a thing nonetheless. These boots were just not worth the pricetag. The search for the perfect pair of low-heeled, brown, knee-high, baddass boots continues.
Did not see Harry Potter tonight, as dinner at the in-laws' went long. I did learn the Page Family game of choice, a dice game called Farkle (I know, right?), and I soundly kicked some ass with my magical dice-throwing powers.
We DID get to Ikea, though... J is setting up a little desk space in our bedroom for his freelance stuff. We agreed that he needed space behind a closed door that does not conflict with my space, for nights we're both working late. So he got a new desk, bookshelf/divider, and chair. I got a few new organizer boxes and a jar of lingonberry jam. Yum.
