Hallo-weekend

Friday

Friday, I CLEANED ALL THE THINGS. My microwave? It is now white again. As is my stovetop. I am quite happy about this. After a smattering of last-minute cancellations, guests started arriving for Hocus Pocus, and I produced very edible purple and orange cupcakes! After Hocus Pocus-ing, J and I scurried over to another shindig, where we were out way past our bedtimes and subsequently slept 'til noon the next day.

Saturday

I read The Walking Dead. I made a brunch of banana pancakes with chocolate chips. I lazed and felt bad about not going to the rally, but watched it on TV to assuage my guilt. I had some good us-time with the mister.

Sunday

A lot more lazing. We carved our pumpkin, and I made roasted pumpkin seeds with chipotle, Old Bay, and sea salt. We watched The Walking Dead. It was amaaaaaazzzziiiiing. We got no trick or treaters. Boo.

Moving Forward

I actually feel well rested today despite CRAZY zombie dreams. I was fighting with a guy (my roommate, in the dream?) who had locked the zombified remains of his loved ones on the second story of our house and wouldn't let me kill them. They were starting to get out. I fled to an underground bunker financed by some fictional rich relative, but my mother refused to come despite my tearful pleading. I woke up to a cat scratching ominously at my bedroom door. Jesus christ, Mim.

Today, after I wash out this deep conditioning treatment, I have commissions galore, and then J and I are stopping by the costume store for closeouts. He needs new spooky prosthetics, and I need discounted candy to put in orders.

Am also sad to not be doing NaNo this year. November is just toooooo busy, as I am working on Holiday everything. I may defer until March and try to do it in another month.
