The Henna Question
Okay, so it comes back to this.
I have a box of henna to mix. I have hair I'd like to be gentler to-- it's currently an auburny reddish shade, though it does not hold saturated color due to protein damage (which I'm working to correct, but it will take a while).
Alas, I am having SERIOUS commitment issues to henna.
The thing about henna is that once it's in, there's no lightening it. It's in for the duration. Which means I'd be committing to a darker, super saturated red for a long, long, long time.
And I don't know if I can do that. I like that red on me, but I think my favorite was the strawberry blonde-ish red I had at my wedding. But that would take more chemical dyes and I am trying to be gentle on my little hairs.

In any case, whatever I pick will be my haircolor for a long, long, long time.
