Studio renovation time.

The studio needs an overhaul. For one, there was no storage anywhere, and my one measly bookshelf (dedicated to Pagan books) runneth over.

Cue trip to Ikea. Jason and I needed lots of storage, plus some odds and ends. We came home with:

-- A big bookshelf for our living room
-- Several baskets for mail sorting
-- Two very large floating shelves for the office
-- Six bright orange storage boxes for the shelves (receipts, resin supplies, herbs, wire, stamping supplies, ribbons)
-- An extra wastebasket for the studio (always a necessity)
-- Kitchen odds and ends, like a spice rack and oven mitts
-- Their mega-pack of tealights
-- The requisite lingonberry jam

The plan is to move the desk away from the window and install bright green curtains-- I'm going for a bright, citrussy look. My lovely artist friend Merle Pace sent me some gorgeous mini-paintings to hang, including the pink-haired faerie princess I've had my eye on for so long. I'll be reorganizing the Pagan bookshelf/altar to include some room for art related books. I'm putting up a separate altar to Bast, as well. We'll hopefully have the shelves up later this week, so the studio will be overhauled and ready to rock by the end of February.

We also took a trip to Wegmann's, since we needed broccolini for a recipe, and J had never been. He was in AWE. We brought home more Emergen-C, tulsi tea, smoked bacon gouda, and asparagus galore. I could live there, I swear to my various gods.
