Update on Saturday & Girls' Night Out
Busy busy. A very busy week indeed, as all weeks leading up to an update are. I wish I didn't have to go into the store, 'cause I'm in serious creative mode, and I just want to get things done. It's harder for me to jumpstart that creative urge at night than it is in the afternoon, too.
Today: bead shop, grocery store, try to finish a piece for the update
Tomorrow: bead shop, finishing up last pieces for update (3 necklaces, 1 pr earrings)
Thursday: practice? 1/2 day at bead shop, finishing stuff up/writing copy
Friday: going down to Arlington to meet witb a dance teacher, writing copy
Saturday: photographing, photoediting, update.
Sunday: fall down, go boom.
Overall, this update is earring heavy, but they're fancier than updates past, with many many gemstones. Labradorite, chrome diopside, prasiolite, peridot, saturated purple amethyst, iolite, moonstone, blue topaz, carnelian, lapis, chalcedony. Big, bold, and dangly. The earrings are suited for both everyday wear and for dance. There are several really neat necklaces in styles that would fit both ATS and tribal fusion dancers. Or if you just wanna look funky and cool. :) There are even some fun 'evil eye' pieces.
Earring club subscriptions for the year are on sale 'til January 15, but I'm making them this week to send out. The New Years' Bling earring wardrobes are really cool and sparkly.
Also! If you're in MD, Sihaya Designs will be vending the Girls' Night Out event in Overlea on Jan. 15! Thanks to
youvebeenpixied for the heads-up. There will be bellydancing (cabaret, I think), zumba, shiny stuff, yoga, etc.
For self: supply list-- 24g brass wire, brass leverbacks, 12mm round, 8mm round sw.
In other news, Mim has taken to knocking over every water glass in the house. For about a week know, she's been knocking over our glasses and their water bowls. We are very frustrated at this point.
Okay, in gear. Must pack two orders and skedaddle to the PO.
