Sweet FeLV+ cat in MD needs a forever home! Please help!
So, my sister took in a cat with feline leukemia this year. Problem is, she'd been staying with her douchey boyfriend's really fucking evil family and they kicked both her and her boyfriend out last week.
The good news is my sister andthe douchenozzle her boyfriend are at my mom's place now, which is something we'd all been fervently hoping for, because long story short, it's better to know where she is and with whom she's consorting. It's a long and very very frustrating story. She's a good person who makes some not-so-good choices, and my parents are trying to get her back on track.
But of course, there's bad news. Binx, the kitty with feline leukemia, cannot come to my mother's house with them. My mom has two FeLV negative cats who've had all their shots. However, the shots aren't foolproof, and so Mom's vet is urging my mother to find a new home for Binx, who has thus far been staying with those really fucking awful people and god knows what kind of care he's been getting. Andi can't get on the premises, so she can't give Binx his medication-- which he has been responding to very well.
Binx needs a new home. A home with someone who can both afford his monthly medication, and a home where there are no other FeLV-negative cats present. He's 2 years old, all black, and sweet natured. He's had a pretty hard life and deserves somebody who'll give him lots of love.
Please, please repost this and/or let me know if you know of anyone else who can help or take him in.
