Good things
First of all, thanks to everybody who pimped the furball sale yesterday! Mim's next few mandatory visits to the vet are covered. Yay, happy fuzzballs.
In other good kitty news, though she still looks a bit haggard, Olive is feeling a lot better. She's active and sniffling/coughing a lot less. Eating is back to normal. Her right eye is nearing back to normal, her left is still kinda gross. But she has 5 days worth of meds left before the antibiotic course is over.
ALSO-- Nox's fever broke last night. We'd been taking his temperature (taking a cat's temp rectally = no fun at all for either human or cat) and last night, he fiiiiiiinally dropped below 102 after days of being warmer and not really doing much of anything other than baking listlessly on the sofa. Last night, he started showing more interest in food and rehydrating himself. This morning, he chased Mim around for some playtime. Things are going in the right direction for the Noxman.
Momma bear is very happy. Also very tired, as being a kitty nursemaid and having my face walked on all night long for my troubles is exhausting.
Other things that are good:
-- I have both pumpkin pie marshmallows and pumpkin pie candy corn.
-- Jason and I are doing a ghost walk in Gettysburg this weekend! We're going to eat at the Farnsworth House Tavern (the Farnsworth is among the most densely haunted houses in America, and the tavern is covered in civil war relics. Plus the food is delish) and then go on one of the guided walks. We did the East Cemetery Hill Walk last year (and I'd done the historic battlefield walk before that) and it is always one of my very favorite Samhain/Halloween traditions. We're doing the new College Tour and the Mature Tour this time around.
