Kallisti Tribal Inappropriate Hafla 2009
For dancers, by dancers, where we perform the crazy, weird, and naughty fusions we'd NEVER show to the general public. Loved Lilam's cabaret vs. tribal smackdown, loved Kallisti's playground theme, loved the wardrobe malfunctions, the naughtiness, and the laughing. Granted, it rained the entire time and made the rugs we were dancing on SUPER slippery, but everybody got wet and danced anyway. And it REALLY started comin' down just as the final act finished.
Verve's theme this year? Cheerleaders. Pom poms and all (dude, I have a newfound respect for cheerleaders-- dancing with pom poms is hard!) Of course we did "Mickey." Of course we did "Hollaback Girl." And a filthy song about how flexible cheerleaders are. OH. And I got
marinatempest to bootyshake. Plus I can now say I've danced in my bra in the rain.
