Update-making continues apace. Lots to do, lots to do. Will be working through the weekend.
Today's plan: must get library books renewed. I have not yet finished Sex with the Queen (though, admittedly, it got a little boring after Catherine the Great), and I've barely touched The Encyclopedia of Spirits. I suspect I'll want the latter for my library in general. Good inspiration material. Also must work a lot. Also must see if I can finish up my witch swap package enough to send it tonight. And then, note to self: conditioner, olive oil, awesome chai reward.
Kittens: We've been doing the 30 min scent switcheroo thing with the cats, where we put Olive in Nox's quarantine and Nox in the open. Nox loves it; Olive not so much. But last night we both sat in the living room, J holding Olive and me holding Nox. Olive hissed and hissed and hissed but was not otherwise aggressive-- no swatting. Nox could have cared less. He just sat there on me, totally unfazed, going "what? Dude, I was in a kennel with, like, fifty other cats. You don't scare me." This morning, I held Nox while I played around with Olive some. Same deal-- she hissed, got bored of hissing, played, then hissed a little bit more. But no swatting. We're probably going to do that a little bit every day until Nox heals up from next week's surgery, when we finally let him run free. Which we hope will lead to them playing and therefore Olive will not walk on our faces for affection at 4am.
