Preparing for Autumn
Nox is still sneezy. Doing much better, though, as we've gotten him to start eating dry food as well as Nutri-cal. No luck on the wet food quite yet-- though that may be because he still can't smell it and it looks weird to him. He's got a ton more energy, so at night when we do the kitty-scent switcheroo, he runs around the apartment like crazy and plays just as energetically as any other kitten I've seen. Still suuuuuper affectionate, even to the point where I've had to put him off my desk several times this morning because he just wants to walk back and forth, back and forth under my nose, purring. Which gets fur up my nose, and that's super unpleasant.
Been working like a madwoman in the studio. I have most of next week's update completed, and am waiting on a few supplies for the rest. Spent yesterday afternoon finalizing formulas for the new intent pendants-- I will be restocking Ishtar, Titania, and Sol (though no two will be identical), and to that will be adding: Luna, Athena, Hecate, Cernunnos, Mabon & Fortuna. I am excited! Also, fall is in full swing in the studio-- there will be more of my popular Sylvan leaves, more verdigris, carved gemstone leaves, and much more.
After that-- I will be sending out my witchy swap package. (Reminder: Deadline is Aug 17!) I have everything together but one last thing, which I'm making. And THEN my BOS is arriving, so I get to start on that. After I re-sew my bra for dance stuff. And figure out what choli I want to wear for wedding stuff, as L Rose has discontinued the shade of gold I was hoping for. Ieeeee.
Oh! And! BPAL Halloweenies went up. I joined a decant circle because nothing called out to me as "must have"-- a lot were the new Vampire scents, and I just don't get the whole 'smelling like grave flowers' thing. The rest were sticky sweet, and I don't tend to do those either. But I did pick a few out of each category that might work, including:
Summer's Last Will and Testament:: Doomed summer, supported on the shoulders of winter and autumn: citrus-infused Baltic amber, red valerian, marigold, blood orange, and sunflower subdued by somber myrrh and dry geranium alongside the leaves of autumn and a breath of winter wind.
Under the Harvest Moon:: Blue and white musk, summer roses, wild crimson leaves, grey amber, carnation, lavender bud, and vanilla bean.
Boo:: Eerie billows of spun sugar, fluttering white cotton, and sheets of cream.
Pomona:: Azaroles, nuts, and apple blossoms with red apple pulp, mulberry, blackberry, and pomegranate juice.
Pumpkin 1:: Pumpkin, almond, brown musk, and honey.
Pumpkin 2:: Pumpkin, rosewood, red sandalwood, and tea rose.
Cristina:: Chestnut trees, juniper berries, violet leaf, labdanum, dazzling, moonlit white musk, and night-blooming summer flowers.
Mircalla, Countess Karnstein:: red musk, purple orchid, frankincense, smoky vanilla, Styrian herbs, peru balsam, tonka, Zanzibar clove, and patchouli.
