Her response:

Wow. I’m speechless. I cannot express how disappointed and hurt I am, especially after receiving such a cruel and loathsome convo earlier from your friend stellans. [ed: bpal.org member, as this was posted to buyer beware.] I don’t feel that I must defend myself here, nor do I feel I have to seek approval from another etsy seller to launch a product. I’m simply shocked at the display of utter hatred towards me over a little industry standard bottle, which hangs from a chain. Its so sad to think that people, who call themselves Pagan, can express such contempt for other human beings ~ I’m shocked that you feel so betrayed about this. I don’t, but I could. I mean it was my idea too and I feel as though you people are nailing me to a cross. Isn’t there enough room for all of us to benefit? Don’t our customers have a right to choose? Its called free enterprise. And honestly, I think this is a bit unreasonable. The necklaces are different and you’re making is seem as though it’s the exact same design. And the names are completely different. I just don’t know what to say anymore Chris. These convos have been mind blowing.

I read your notes this afternoon, but didn’t have time to respond right away. I just received your last request, wanting to cancel your order with me. I’ve never been asked this before, to cancel a sale because someone has a disagreement with me and is mad at me. My policy on returns is shoppe credit only, but when you receive the box, simply return it unopened, and I will be more than happy to issue a refund for the items your purchased, excluding the shipping costs.

Mine:

To be absolutely honest, Stellans is not affiliated with me in any way. I did post about this on my blog-- the truth of the facts you are absolutely welcome to check-- and in no way did I ask of suggest anyone to email you personally. I do not know that person personally, nor her "real life" name to connect it to any of my customers. I am sorry if anyone has been cruel to you. I have done my best not to be cruel, but rather to straightforwardly and bluntly call things as I see them in a way that is not malicious.

As for me, I have described to you why I think you have been dishonest, and I will leave it at that. Please though, let's get the fact straight-- there WAS the same name. I specifically discussed with you a bottle named Fortuna for the purpose of money luck and employment. I specifically showed you the two bottles I was planning on using. When I emailed you, it was about a bottle named Fortuna in one of the bottles I had shown you, which you posted two weeks after I showed you my prototypes. Those are facts. Had it been "your idea too," the responsible and ethical thing would have been to tell me "I have had the exact same idea, using the exact same bottles and some of the same names, and I've been working on it for a few months already" during the month I was discussing my prototypes with you. I find it incredibly hard to believe that you would say you'd like to potentially partner over these items and be interested in seeing my prototypes if in fact you'd already been developing a near-identical product. Your silence on this matter was deceiving and dishonest. I in no way think the idea for intent pendants is unique to me, but the timing on this and your neglect to be forthright is quite suspect. Those are my thoughts, and you may be shocked if you so wish.

I got a Click and Ship at 9:48 eastern, and I see it has a tracking number. For that reason, I will keep the order when it comes. I do thank you for your willingness to issue a refund, however.

Oh, it never fails. "I'm shocked that you are upset at my shady behavior!" How many times this year am I going to hear this from Etailers? Criminy. Hopefully this is done.
