It may also be used for any other instruments to check for tone accuracy. Almost any serious musician will tell you that one skill is of utmost importance. It's the ability to sightread sheet music. Having a good sightreading foundation helps you learn and master a new piece of music a lot faster. This app provides a good way to practice your sightreading skills. You play on your real instrument or keyboard instead of touching a soft-keyboard on the screen. The app shows you the notes required and is able to detect the keys you hit on a real instrument. Pretty much like the traditional flash card, but now becomes fully automated. One important feature you won't find in other similar apps is that our app supports all 11 (+2 identical F# and Gb) keys, which is crucial for advanced music learners. All keys are available: C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb. In other words, it is even able to detect if you get the semitone (sharp or flat) right. Accidentals are also supported (Double-sharp, double-flat, natural). You may also share your achievements with other friends and show off your amazing sightreading skills.

The Custom Level settings page is now scrollable so that it becomes easier for us to add more fields in the future. Please scroll down to find and pick a time signature and note types. in scales and chords exercises.
- Fixed buttons width in Full Range Tuner to dynamically adapt long label text such as Russian and French. 3.0.7 Mar 8 In this version, we added some great UX features:
- Voice control function. We understand that many users keep repeating the same exercise while holding instrument in their hands.
It will be extremely helpful if this can be controlled by the sound produced from their instrument.
For string instruments, you just need to play open strings to control the corresponding actions.
You can turn on this feature in practice mode selection screen. We are investigating in which other scenarios this function may also become useful.
- For all string instruments, single octave mode in music theory practice is now more beginner-friendly by starting with open strings whenever possible.
- New song added in Book 3:
Chanson Boheme from Carmen by Bizet
- New language is now supported:
Russian 3.0.6 Feb 28 In this version, we focused on a number of UI/UX improvements.
- Scales and Chords now have one octave and two octaves options.
This matches what you would find in many music theory books, helping students prepare for exams.
- We further extended the availability of Hints option to all sections when pitch-only mode is selected.
- Zoom in/out button is moved to the top so that users can now easily control both hints on/off and zoom in/out.
We now use a magnifier icon for the zoom button.
- All non-draggable cards are now ignoring drag detection.
The end-user experience is that you will find those cards more responsive to your clicks,
without being misinterpreted as drag actions.
- We are making the app more and more iPhone friendly by increasing the size of all buttons.
- F-sharp major and G-flat major (and their corresponding minors) will now be rendered properly in Music Theory.
-New languages are now supported:
1. French
2. Italian 3.0.005 Feb 22 A number of new features are included in this version:
- Chromatic Scales are now available in Music Theory section.
You can choose any sub-range using our new double slider control.

Interactive fingering chart helps clarinet and flute students learn notes faster.
- We have developed a double slider control, letting users control the minimum and maximum range.
This has applied to multiple places such as notes range in custom level and chromatic scale range picker.
No need to worry about having big fingers particularly on iPhone.
- We extended the availability of 'hints' function to Music Theory section.
We understand that you still need help with fingering chart when digging deep into music theory.
- Changed color theme of existing fingerborad hints for all string instruments to improve readability.
Important bug fix:
- Detection of some treble notes were disabled in rhythm mode since 3.0.002 upgrade.
New song available in Book 3:

- Hints are now available for all string instruments in Flash Cards training.

This part has now become super beginner friendly and it will help students develop the sense of fingerboard geometry.
- Rhythm settings such as time signatures and note types are now available in Custom Level.
The Custom Level settings page is now scrollable so that it becomes easier for us to add more fields in the future.
Please scroll down to find and pick a time signature and note types.
In development:
1. Keep growing our songs library.
2. Wind instruments are the next for us to provide hints function. This almost has to be per instrument based. We are working hard on that! 3.0.003 Feb 13 - New chord types available:
Major Ninth, Minor Ninth, Dominant Ninth, Added Ninth, Major Eleventh, Minor Eleventh, Dominant Eleventh.
- Increase size of chord type list items so that it becomes easier to read on iPhone.
- New songs available in Book 3:
1. Canon by Pachelbel
2. Passacaglia by Handel/Halvorsen
3. Sonatina No.1 by Clementi

Version 1.0.259
1. We have significantly improved our pitch detection engine and introduce our new 'Full Range Tuner' for all instruments with wide detection range from C1 to C8. With our new digital signal processing algorithm, we improved the tuning accuracy and efficiency.
2. We have finally brought in all instruments in the standard orchestra settings :
- Bass Guitar and Double Bass (with a user friendly tuner). We particularly improved our low pitch detection in order to support these two instruments well.
- Oboe. This instrument is known for its stability and often used to provide concert reference pitch 440Hz to other instruments in the orchestra so we skip the tuning process to speed up the training.
- The long awaited Saxophone series is here. We support four popular types (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone). Individual tuners are set for each type.
- Bassoon (bass clef plus tenor and treble clefs for advanced training).
- Trumpet (C / Bb).
- Trombone (Tenor and Bass). This is another microtonal instrument that can take advantage of the pitch meter.
- Tuba.
- Harp.
3. Range for piano is now extended to E1 - C7 (although wider range is certainly possible, too many ledger lines make this impractical).
4. Full Range Tuner is particularly added for Piano and Harp (Also other instruments). Check your piano is out of tune or DIY to fix a few strings. It may also be used for any other instruments to check for tone accuracy.
