Until casting directors know your name by heart, your showreel (along with your headshot) is the most important tool you have as an actor to get noticed, get an audition, and get cast. Custom-made showreel scenes, produced from scratch – rather than edited from existing material – are a solid investment for any (re-)emerging actor, or actor with a theatre background, to break into the world of film and TV.
Showreels that make you want to watch the whole movie
Award-winning London-based writer–director David Walter Hall works with a small team of experienced crew to produce showreel scenes for actors from scratch, with scripts written or adapted to highlight each actor’s strengths and unique casting. The finished scenes – edited and colour graded for an authentic cinematic look – can either be used to augment existing material or a showreel can be built entirely from the ground up, with up to three distinct and diverse new scenes.

Each scene will be around two minutes, and never shorter than 90 seconds when edited. It will be rehearsed and shot in a two-hour time slot.
Scenes can be written to order at no extra charge. We may rework or recycle material from past clients, but each script will be tailored to you. You can also provide your own text.
The cost is per scene. If you have a group of three or four actors, you can film two scenes each in a day (for example). Ask about group deals.
Scene partners can be hired if necessary from our network of experienced professional actors. The cost is per scene, and can be negotiated with individual actors.
If you have material from other sources we can edit this into the showreel alongside the scenes made from scratch. We don’t offer this as a standalone service.
We can film between two and four scenes in a day. The one-scene price assumes that we will film your scene and at least one other actor’s scene(s) on the same day in the same or a nearby location.
If you’d like us to find and book locations for you, we will charge a small fee for this service on top of any hire charges. You can also locate and provide your own.
