Apr 3 – Spring Skies: Southern Hemisphere

April fools! We are taking a journey through our night sky, but from a different perspective. Join the INTUITIVE® Planetarium staff as we navigate our way through the night sky as seen from the Southern Hemisphere. See what is different and remains the same as we travel the world - no plane tickets required.

Apr 10 – Cosmic Address

Did you remember to include the Laniakea Supercluster in the return address of your last letter? It is a part of our cosmic address after all! Join the INTUITIVE® Planetarium staff as we explore where we live in space, from Huntsville to the edge of the universe!

Apr 17 – Earth Day

What’s the most studied body in our solar system? It’s the Earth of course! Join us as we explore our home planet and look at how we use technology to gain knowledge about daily weather, climate patterns, and even geology.

Apr 24 – Hubble 36th Anniversary

From its lookout point in low Earth orbit, high above the city lights and bad weather, Hubble has captured vivid imagery of areas in space never seen before and contributed to innumerable astronomical studies. Join us as we explore some of our favorite Hubble images and illuminate what this great observatory has taught us about our universe in the last 36 years.

May 1 – Spring Skies

Navigate your way through what's up in the spring in this live, guided tour of the night sky. Learn to find stars, constellations, planets, and other far out objects (such as nebulae and even galaxies) with imagery from telescopes like Hubble. A traditional planetarium experience with a modern kick of technology, this show will help you explore the night sky from your own backyard.

Join us on Select Fridays and Saturdays at 1:00 pm in Space Works: A Makers Lab for Teen Maker Hour.

March Space Works Theme: Moonbound Makers
This month, Space Works will transform into a laboratory of Moon-bound Makers as teens code, design, and build technologies for future Moon missions. Inspired by real lunar exploration, students become engineers, inventors, and problem-solvers preparing for the challenges of returning to the Moon!

Mission: MoonCode

This is an introductory block coding class where teens learn the basics of programming through hands-on, space-themed projects. Students create lunar-inspired animations, design interactive stories, and build simple Moon and space-based games using Scratch block coding. Through creative challenges and guided exploration, teens will develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence in their ability to code.

Ages: 12+

This is a one-hour, hands-on lab.

General admission is NOT required.
