Description
|
CURTAIN aims to reduce cancer-related inequalities across Europe by improving cancer literacy at multiple levels: among citizens, patients, healthcare professionals, and organizations. CURTAIN is developing the first cancer-specific literacy tool for seven countries to guide literacy campaigns. It also builds the capacity of patients to navigate cancer care systems and technologies, focusing on vulnerable groups. Training for healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, is being developed, and Cancer Literacy Ambassadors are selected to enhance communication between providers and patients. SHINE contributes to CURTAIN by integratings its results into its ongoing advocacy, training, and capacity building programs. The educational resources developed during CURTAIN will be incorporated into SHINE’s Educational Hub, ensuring the sustainability of CURTAIN’s outcomes. |
