In my search for another author, I found this amazing story, Pea-Souper of the Damned. I've never read anything like this in the Sherlock Holmes fandom. I finished this story a few days ago and am still thinking of the imagery that the writer painted. Brilliantly written. It reminded me of Carmac McCarthy's The Road, you didn't want to continue but you had to see it through to the end. Please read, worth every minute, though it may give you nightmares.

I have a question about the new movie

But don't know if here is the right place to ask. Spoilers after the cut.

Irene collapsed after getting a virus from the drugged tea. Later, you see her handkerchief with blood on it. Did she die? I couldn't tell from the dialogue. I saw Holmes sniff it before casting it into the water, symbolic but wasn't sure if it meant her death. Therefore, I was waiting for an update of her at the end of the movie and didn't get anything.
