SO, WHO WANTS THE ABRIDGED VERSION OF WHY MY COMEBACK IS HORRIBLY OVERDUE?!

On the way to California, the car decided to go "lol" and die. Only a couple hundred miles from Desert Hot Springs. Not only that, but there was tons of traffic and road construction on the way there and back. It was not fun. I think I was starting to lose what little sanity I still have from boredom. <s>At least I wasn't seeing like 30529528758027597 dead, maimed, and twitching chipmunks in the road like that one time, but that's another story altogether.</s>

To top it all off, I had shitloads of school work to do once I got back. Add that to my recent FFXII addiction, and toujourshotel (where I play Vaati, lawl), and shake well.

YOU GET MY FUCKED UP SCHEDULE!

I need to get a job soon. Seriously. If I ever want to stop living with my parents at eighteen, which I do, believe me.

IN OTHER NEWS, MY PARENTS ARE BACK TO BEING ASSHOLES. LOL. :D

...You don't even want to know how visiting my grandparents went. Grandpa = Coolest person in the history of ever. Grandma = Good lord woman, how do you live with yourself? Seriously. Grow a fucking conscience.

...Have I used that title before? Meh. xD

Hot damn I love this song. x3

I am in an extremely good mood as of this moment. One of my all time favorite songs is playing, I'm looking forward to FFXII, which I'm picking up tomorrow, and I just pimped my LJ with a new layout, since the old one decided to go boom. :D

That, and HALLOWEEN HELL YEAH!

<3 Little kids.
<3 Candy.

Man, I wish moments like this could last longer. You know, moments where you're just ecstatic over little things.

...But for now, I have to go do dishes. :[

*Eats leftover birthday cake*

I had the best birthday evar yesterday.

I woke up to find my mom making chocolate cake. Then, after the cake was ready, I opened my presents. I got a TV, a DVD player, some earrings, and a little dragon with stained glass wings. After eating some of the cake, we went out and watched The Grudge 2, which wasn't as good as the first one, but still pretty good. After that, we went off to Wal-Mart (damn I wish there was a mall nearby D:) where I bought Dirge of Cerberus, a Led Zeppelin CD, and reserved myself a copy of Final Fantasy XII. x3

Then, once we got home, I was able to get my mom to watch the Full Metal Alchemist movie. Bwahaha. >:D

Ah, fun times. Unfortunately, my brother got the new Scarface game. So I'm letting him use the Playstation. I haven't been able to start playing DoC yet. ;~;

It's a good thing he's my favorite brother.

...

Especially since he's my only brother.

If I am ever gone for so long ever again, every last one of you has permission to shoot me. For serious.

During the summer I was in Canada, and I've been up to my ears in school work ever since. xD

There isn't enough time in the day to write down all the crap I've been doing. So I'll give you the abridged version:

ANIME VIDEO GAMES NEW CAT OMG CANADA HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COLD I STILL HAVEN'T FULLY RECOVERED FROM.

It's the cold of freakin' doom. I can feel it in my chest, refusing to go away. Even though it's been OVER TWO WEEKS SINCE I GOT THE COLD WHAT THE CRAP.

It probably isn't helping that our heat is out. The heater guy can't come out until sometime this upcoming week, so we're pretty much screwed. I'm sticking to my room, since my air conditioner doubles as a heater. My family wants to kill me in my sleep and steal it, but they haven't gotten me yet. :D

Oh, did I mention the AWESOME ROB ZOMBIE AND GODSMACK CONCERT?! I'm no longer a concert virgin. I also learned that my brother is a total dork at concerts. He just stands there staring at the stage blankly. xD

Once again, I'm so sorry for being away so long. Guh.

*Runs off to make some echinatia or whatever tea before I forget*

I'm not dead. I swear. I've just been busy as hell lately, and there hasn't been much to talk about. But a couple of things happened, so I'll just stick them in here. I'll catch up with your journals later. :D

OMG FINALLY BEAT TALES OF SYMPHONIA YESTERDAY.

aoitealh;lkdn;jI KNEW KRATOS WAS LLOYD'S FATHER! And I knew it before they were even giving clues. I'm just that good. 8D

Kickass game. It also made me wonder why cell shading died out, because this game definately did it right.

I saw the new Pirates movie yesterday night! :D

OMG, WHY DID YOU LEAVE IT OFF THERE, DISNEY?! If the rumor is true, it is the most kickass thing in kickassdom. Srsly.

...Why in the hell did I wake up at 6:00 am? D:

And more importantly, why the hell am I eating cotton candy at this hour?

Oh yeah.
Some of you may remember that I live in the attic of an old victorian house.

Some of you may also remember that I had no air conditioning.

Today was a really damn hot day, and I was roasting to death.

But then, the angels sang out as I saw the box sitting on our porch.

It was the air conditioner that my parents had finally saved up the money to buy.

Temprature before AC: 96 Degrees. Temprature after: I have no goddamn clue, I'm too comfortable to get up and check. :D

PURE. JOY.

In other news, we finally got rid of the Christmas Tree. I was sad to see it go. :(

I bought Tales of Symphonia a few days back on a whim, and it arrived in the mail yesterday.

The game is much more awesome then I expected it to be. :3

You have your not very bright but well meaning main character, his magic-using super smart best friend who's always getting smacked around by everyone, the stupid blond girl who is totally going to get together with the main character before the end, and just happens to be the one chosen to save the world, teehee!, the badass jerk of a mercenary, and the obligatory healer, who has a stick up her ass.

Ah, good ol' unwritten rpg law. How I love you.

And I've only just scratched the surface, because apparently there's eighty hours of gameplay. -instert heart attack here-

...

You know, the first time I heard the term "Human Ranch" in the game, I was like "OH SNAP THOSE DESIANS EAT PEOPLE LOLLOLLOL!"

Sadly, I was wrong. :'(

I BET KRATOS IS LLOYD'S FATHER.

It just suddenly hit me this morning. Ohohoho.

If you've played the game, don't tell me whether or not I'm right. I want to find out for myself. >3

Now I've just got to kill some time until my brother wakes up. He gets pissy if I start playing a game without him, if he's been following the story. x3

OKAY, PARENTAL FIGURES. IT'S ON.

People of LJ, how do you pronounce the word 'won'? Do you say it like 'won (like won-ton soup)', or 'one'?

Personally, I say it like 'won'. My parents say it's 'one'. My brother agrees with me. I just want to see what you all think.

In other news, I beat Devil May Cry. And guess what?

At the very end, when the demon king guy is dying, it starts skipping. Like, "I will return and destroy this weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr----"

-_____________________-;

So I had to watch the ending online.
So, I go with my mom to the video store out of boredom. There, they have a table piled high with video games that says "TWO FOR FIFTEEN DOLLARS (or one for ten)". Most of them were crappy sports games, but when I got to the bottom of a particularly tall pile of crap, there sat Devil May Cry. Both my brother and I had been wanting that game for a long time, so I was a happy panda. :3

THE GAME IS A BARREL OF AWESOME. Unlimited ammo rocks. I hate having to hunt down obscure boxes of ammo while being chased by monsters that want to rip off my head. D:

You know, I got it mostly for my brother. But he rarely plays video games. He prefers to watch me play them, for some reason. Whatever, more fun for me! xD

So there I was, about to go to sleep, when suddenly, out of nowhere, this plot bunny smacked into my face, and said he'd maul me if I don't write this story.

Ah, late night plot bunnies. They're killers, they are.

Anyway, short KH ficcage, it's supposed to be humourous, but I'm not fully awake right now. xP

There aren't any spoilers, either. :3

"Hmph."

Sora looked up, a frown tugging at the corners of his mouth as he gazed at his silver-haired companion. "What? Am I not doing it right?"

Riku shook his head, and picked up the letter that the younger boy had been writing.

"deer kairi,
i rly liek u. lets go out, k?"

"No. Just no." Riku growled, snatching the pencil out of Sora's hand and taking out a fresh piece of paper.

"Dear Kairi,
Wow, you've really filled out nicely. Meet me in my room, and bring all of your friends. I learned some new tricks while I was traveling around that I'm sure you'll all enjoy. Don't worry, mom's out at work.

-Sora <3

P.S.: Don't forget the cameras!"

"What'd you write?" Sora asked curiously, trying to snatch the paper away from Riku. The older boy held it up out of his reach, a smirk creeping onto his face.

"Something a bit more romantic then what you wrote," he replied, folding it up and sticking it into an envelope. "Just trust me, she'll love it."

"...Alright," Sora said slowly, taking the envelope. "You'd better be right!"

"Of course I'm right."

Sora flashed him a big goofy grin and ran out the door. Riku's smirk grew to absurd proportions, and he chuckled as he flopped down on his couch.

And that's payback for dying my hair pink, smartass.

In other news, I watched the new King Kong today.

OMFG.

I have never cried that hard because of a movie before. I swear to god, finding Riku fanfiction that isn't retarded is like trying to find someone who dislikes Axel. It just ain't happenin'.

Speaking of fanfiction, I ran across a Jack SparrowxSora fic a few hours ago. I'll dig up the link to it when my computer is done being a bitch. It was just...wow. There are no words. Not that the fic was horribly bad itself, it's just that the pairing makes my head explode. Dx

It's almost like something you'd find at 30_whowhatnow if sharkcowsheep was writing KH ficcage.

EDIT: http://www.ficwad.com/viewstory.php?sid=13692 <--Just as promised. x3

WHY THE HELL DID AXEL HAVE TO DIE?!?! Dx

AXEL. YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO SAVE SORA. I WOULD HAVE TOTALLY FORGIVEN YOU IF YOU LET HIM DIE. SRSLY.

I swear man, every character I think is awesome dies. In any movie, book, game, TV show, whatever. THEY ALL DIE. D:

What the hell was up with Xemnas' outfit in the final battle? xD

Speaking of final battle, every time I activated the Sora and Riku limit break, there was this "UNFUNFUNFUNFUNF!!!" noise near then end of it. I don't know if it was just a glitch with my game or what, but it was so freakin' hilarious, I had to pause the game because I was laughing so hard. x3

BETSY, YOUR ICON WAS RIGHT. AXEL IS TOTALLY GAY FOR ROXAS. xD

Bah, I've gotta go. My brother is pestering me.

EDIT: Lawl, my brother just came up with the most screwed up pairing ever: Axel/Riku.

Ex. Dee.

Sorry for suddenly dropping off the face of the earth. I got Kingdom Hearts II three days ago and have been playing it whenever I have spare time, which means no LJ for me. x3

I don't know quite how far I am in the game yet. 22 hours, I believe.

GOOD GOD, I WANT MORE OF AXEL IN THIS GAME. His voice is just...wow. And I've always liked the over-confident bastard. :D

Dude. Valor form = TOTAL WIN. I love it even more then Master form. Which I need to start leveling up. When my brother first saw me using it he was like "OMFG THAT'S SO AWESOME!!!" and I was like "YEAH I KNOW. :D"

I haven't used Wisdom form once. xP

Oh, by the way. Auron is the most awesome character you get to fight with. THE END.

I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth. I just haven't had anything eventful going on, really.

I swear I'm gonna be seeing words like circumlocution, magnanimous, recalcitrant, and extemporaneous in my dreams tonight. It's a good thing I actually like vocab. x_X;;

On a totally unrealated note, I bet that my house is the only place in the state of Missouri that still has our Christmas tree up.

...

I shit you not.

And I'm not going to remove it myself, for two reasons:

1: It's almost twice my hieght.

2: I wanna see how long it takes for someone else to take the thing outside.
*Struts into LJ land*

Prologue: The Discovery

"...Where did you find this?"

"In the Northern Crater."

"How long ago?"

"A few hours ago."

"...Thank you for turning this find over to me. You may leave now." The scientist said briskly to the two children standing anxiously before him. They exchanged glances, and the girl spoke up.

"Hey mister, is it worth anything?" She asked, her wide blue eyes staring up at the scientist with the utmost trust. The man smiled and gave her a quick pat on the head.

"No, no. I shouldn't think so. But I'm glad you brought it in anyway." He lied, the smile not leaving his face. The little girl gave him a broad smile in return, and the older boy frowned at her.

"What is it?" he asked, his frown turning into a smirk. "Kate said it was a piece of turtle shell, but I told her she was stupid because I learned from my teacher that turtles are reptiles, and can't live this far north because it's too cold. But she's just a kid, so I don't blame her."

"I am not a kid! And you're only a year older then me!" Kate pouted, giving the boy a shove. "Besides, I bet it's probably a rare kind of turtle that can live in cold weather!"

"You're stupid." The boy shot back, rolling his eyes.

"I know you are but what am I?"

"Stupid!"

"Jerk!"

"Moron!"

"Mamma's boy!"

"QUIET!"

The two children abruptly stopped their bickering, and stared up at the scientist in shock. The man scowled down at the children over his desk. "I appreciate that you brought this to me," he motioned to the shell-like object that sat on his desk "But do you know what would make me even more happy?"

The children shook their heads silently. The scientist leaned forward, his face inches from the kids. "If you would be so kind as to leave. Now." He growled, fixing the two with a glare. They nearly tripped over themselves scampering out of the room, letting in a cold draft of air and a few flakes of snow as they opened the door, before it obediently clicked shut behind them. The scientist shook his head, muttering under his breath about 'loud children' before turning to the object sitting innocently on his desk.

He had come to the Icicle Inn village with a few other curious scientists to study the Northern Crater, and see if they could find anything related to the JENOVA Project. It was widely known that the Crisis from the Skies had been there a month before, yet they had found nothing. The ones who had saved the planet had no clue what they had done by killing her. Years and years of research and experimentation, gone in the blink of an eye, never to be recovered again.

Or so he had thought.

But now as he stared down at the 'turtle shell', as the girl had referred to it, he began to wonder, and a glimmer of hope began to grow. It was small, because the chances of any piece of Jenova surviving Holy's path of destruction were slim, but maybe, just maybe, he hadn't been wasting his time by coming to this forsaken patch of ice.

After a moment's deliberation, he picked up the phone on his desk and began to dial a number. If he was right, he saw a major promotion in his future.

HAHA, PROCRASTINATION. TAKE THAT. IN THE EYE.

Score:

Procrastination: 0

Chocobo: 1

Can it be...?
I spent all day yesterday with mom. For obvious reasons. :3

I made lemon bars for her. Everyone loved them, and they were pretty damn good.

We watched Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and just basically sat on the couch all day watching TV together. Mom didn't want to deal with the crowds everywhere. xD

I also drew her a picture for mother's day, because I forgot to buy her something at Walmart. >>;;

It wasn't an eventful mother's day, but it was fun. ^^

With the help of my dad, I got a coffee can and (while it sqeaked at me angerly) managed to get it outside, where it flew off looking slightly confused. xD

I guess that's what I get for leaving the outer window open all night.

Hrm. I forgot to mention in my last post that I played and beat FFIV. It kicks so much ass. If any of you don't have it, go out and get the GBA version.

Kain is, without a doubt, the coolest dragoon in the FF series <s>except Cid</s>. You can't deny it. >D

He was so much cooler then Cecil. Rosa should have run away with him. x3

I've noticed something about myself (well, not just now, 'cause of known it for a while...BUT ANYWAY), I just love characters who betray their allies. Willingly or not. My favorite kind of story is one full of betrayal, or a story where one of the main characters is manipulated into doing evil's bidding. I have no clue why, I just love it. :3

On a whole other note, LOOKIT MY NEW LAYOUT. :D

I was thorougly tired of the old one. So I decided to get something (sorta)bright. ^^

I have suddenly been overcome with the urge to write FFIV fanfiction. o-o

...

I'll have to think about that one. FOR NOW, I RUN OFF INTO THE SUNSET TO SEEK SUGAR.

EDIT: Lawl. I hate it when I get confused by my friends posting in communties. I think that it's their journal, and say stuff I wouldn't normally say.

Such as exclaiming "SEX!" at Betsy's awesome drawing in the kingdom hearts community. xP

EDIT EDIT: Oh yeah, my brother set up a deviant art account for me while I was computerless. Just for the record, he won't let me on his computer. So I couldn't use it. -_-;;;

Linkz0rz: http://shadowchocobo.deviantart.com/gallery/

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

I can't believe I was without my computer for so long.

If it hadn't been for my TV, video games, and books, I would have lost my mind. D:

It finally decided to give up the ghost, and it took this long for me to get a new one. ;-;

I MISSED YOU GUYS!!! ;_______________; *HUGS!*

I'll just list the junk that happened while I was computerless:

~I reread stuff. A lot. The most recent being "The Hero and The Crown". I forgot just how much I loved that book, despite the lack of dialouge. And the main character not having much personality. And how everyone seemed to fall in love at the drop of a hat. BUT YES. IT'S A GOOD BOOK ANYWAY.

~I FINALLY got Kingdom Hearts. Beat it. Loved it. <3 Except for King Mickey. He ruined the whole ending scene for me. I don't know why, but that little mouse irks me. I wish they had found some cooler Disney character to be the king, or just made up a whole new one. Blah.

~I still don't have Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Hahaha...

~I'm going to officially give up my fic. You know, "How Did It Come To This". I just...can't spurr myself into writing it, after being away from the computer and writing itself for so long. Hchan, if you want to continue it on your own, feel free to. You know the password for the fanfiction.net account.

~I haven't gotten my paws on Advent Children yet. I know, it's some sort of crime. I should be strung up and forced to listen to whoever voiced Alice in KH1 screech for a few hours. D:

~Um...Nothing else, really. My life is uneventful without you guys. <3 x3

...

Oh my god. I have so much reading to do to catch up with everyone. xD

So, I finally get a chance to go to Wally World and grab the Fire Emblem game I desperately wanted...but....

THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT ANYMORE. THEY NO LONGER STOCK IT. D: D: D: D: D: D:

They didn't even have Final Fantasy IV. It was sold out. Today was a crap day for video game luck, I suppose. Now I'll have to order it off of ebay, and that's always a pain in the ass. :/ *sigh*

BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS!

I found a program that lets me load music onto my iPod without iTunes, so I can put new songs on it once more! JOY! :D
