If any of you guys see this and want to scene, message me because it's summer holidays and I have loads of free time and I think it'd be cool, if we could get the comm up and running again...if you guys want to, I was thinking if we do I could put out some adverts on RP comms and that might get some more people in.

Evie sat eating her pancakes, well aware that she smelled of cigarettes and that pancakes was not a proper lunch. She wasn't feeling that hungry today though. She'd woken up feeling kinda rough and it just hadn't worn off. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. She took a sip of her coffee and glanced at her watch. plenty of time to kill.

Getting Back In Shape

Jonas set down the weight and flexed his sore arm. He had been going at it for several days, attempting to get back into tip-top shape as the Tau'ri called it.

Though, working out alone was absolutely no fun.

Evie took a sip of her coffee and glanced casually around the room, there was usually more people here. She looked at the pancakes that she didn't fancy finishing and pushed them away from her slightly. She took another sip of her coffee and ran her fingers through the tips of her hair. For once she wished that the commissary was full of people so that she could get lost in the noise of everything, as it was the commissary was practically silent, it made her feel slightly uneasy. Evelyn turned to look at the clock and knocked her coffee over.
"Damn it." She muttered with a loud sigh.

When: 2000 hours (two hours after George's communication with Jonas)

George had scheduled SG-1 to go through the gate to bring Jonas Quinn back to Earth. He had just debriefed the team an hour prior and gave them twenty four hours to get him and come back.

George stood in the command room, watching the SG-1 team prepare before the opened Stargate.

"You're good to go SG-1." He said through the mircophone.

George was stll feeling bad for letting Jonas return to his planet and people without offering him a position at the SGC first.

He had arranged to send the M.A.L.P. to Langara, to communicate with Jonas. Afterall, he would know what it was on sight. Some of the technicians had made sure it was going in the right direction.

George wished he could make a personal visit but due to needs he had to fulfill at the SGC and SG-1 still off-world, he had to go about this the best way he knew. George hoped Jonas would respond.

Evelyn ran her fingers through her hair, She was looking at the coffee and not at all the people in the room. She didn't want to seem like she was staring at anyone. She always hated being the new kid, this was worse because almost everybody was from the military, so she had almost nothing in common with them. She raised her head to do a quick scan of the room, everybody was sitting in groups. There was no one she recognised. She glanced at her cigarettes next to her coffee, she'd had a cigarette about ten minutes ago, and she didn't fancy trying to find her way to the surface and then all the way back here. She took a sip of her coffee and hoped that it wasn't always going to be this awkward.

Sitting in his office George wasn't really up to much. He wanted to keep to himself at the moment. Daniel's reappearance was amazing beyond belief, but he was relieved to have one of the top archeologists back on the team - George hated to lose one of his own. And it hurt moreso to see Jonas Quinn leave, he had proved himself a real SGC member.

But work was work and he knew what he had to do. There were applicants sent to him to join the SGC and everyone had a good reason to be there, but by orders from the president himself George was granted to hire whoever he saw fit and worthy to join the Stargate program.

Come into George's office if you need to discuss anything with him. He'll listen

BACKGROUND:
Citizens of Earth live peacefully unaware of the existence of a portal to other worlds, except for those on a need-to-know circumstance. The United States Air Force is under control of the Stargate program, under strict supervision of the United States government.
For the past seven years there have been many expeditions and research into other worlds conducted by those in the Stargate program, comprised of Air Force personel, scientists and doctors. Several units are part of the expeditions themselves, and are named in units after SG (for stargate).
SG-1 have been a part of many explorations and research which have put many lives in jeopardy, yet have successfully (on most occasions) stopped any threat which may have caused catastrophic events to unfold.
There has also been, and still continues to be, a major threat that may cause the destruction of earth – the Goa’uld. These human beings carry with them parasitic creatures, who live inside them, and act as hosts. After killing Ra, the first goa’uld the Stargate teams met, the Stargate Command (and Earth) have become their enemy.
Now SG-1 and all other stargate teams have to protect Earth against Goa’uld threats – possibly other world’s attacks also.

ABOUT THE RPG:
Stargate Command continues to be under threat by the Goa’uld, and still continue to explore other worlds in the name of research and exploration. We follow the various Stargate teams to see into their lives and their missions. We meet some familiar faces as well as some old and some new faces. One thing when being a part of the Stargate Program – anything is possible

* Takes place at beginning of season 7 (702 ‘Homecoming’)
* Atlantis project hasn’t been founded yet

RULES
1. Must be 16 or over, for adult content that may be used during play

2. When playing or posting in OOC you must use your character journal at all times. Do not join the community with your regular journal. You’ll be informed when you can join with the character journal you’ve created.

3. When RPing it helps to have an understanding of the character you’re playing, but because of the time frame the RP is set in, anything goes, so you can do whatever with the character, but please be realistic

4. When other characters come into the RP you’re required to add them as a friend so please do so!

5. You don’t need IM to join this, but you’re asked to regularly join discussions in the OOC community or email one another to discuss RPing, and anything else we may talk about

6. Have fun! We don’t like people ruining the fun for others. If we find there is something happening and is causing much conflict we’ll be handling this seriously.

7. ALL Role Playing should be in 3rd person format (she, he, they, (insert name) etc.)

ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE:
General George Hammond was sitting in his office, staring blankly at the papers that sat on his desk. These were orders delivered to him directly from the president himself, ordering all teams off world to return. George had grown fond of the Stargate Program - for the last six years as the leader and negotiator for all that came through on all missions. He cared for every individual who risked their lives on a daily basis for their country and now the president had ordered a complete shut down, once more, of the Stargate.

Plans were made to seal it and have all personnel to return to bases across the country. This angered George considering all the good that came through the expeditions and research for the good of the country.

He was thinking about all he wanted to say to the president when he was scheduled to meet with him in 2400 hours.

Out of the blue, red lights were flashing, and a siren was sounding loud, and clear, through all rooms and corridors of the base. George sighed.

"Here we go."
