Exploding Cinema
2 April @ 18:00 – 22:30
Exploding Cinema returns to SET Social with another night of underground and independent film treasures.
Expect a vibrant showcase of short films and their makers, alongside live music, a raffle, and a kaleidoscope of projections transforming the space. Using projectors old and new, Exploding Cinema creates an immersive environment where moving image fills the walls and audiences are invited into a uniquely DIY cinematic experience.
Founded in 1991 within the underground art squat scene, Exploding Cinema is a non-profit volunteer screening collective dedicated to open access film culture. Their regular events celebrate short film, underground cinema, artists’ moving image and performance. Anyone can show a film and anyone can join the collective.
