About

Constrained by circumstances, I had to find alternative ways to satiate my innate curiosity. Some choices took me closer to what I dreamed of, but most were dead ends. The thing is, I got hooked on possibility early in life, imagining extravagant scenarios while reality hit differently. Had I known the chances were only 0.0001%, I wouldn't have bet half my life chasing it.

Still, I had a good run in the first chapter of my life. I was immersed in momentum, collecting a few wins and memories, stickers, receipts, lab diagnoses, and a season of depression as souvenirs. Most mysteries are better left unsolved, I think? I realized there’s no point dwelling in the puzzle. It’s still early to tell what my next chapter looks like, but I’m finished writing the intro… wanna tag along?

Writing

2025

A forgotten airdrop became my survival fund in 2020. Eighty dollars of Lumens kept me alive, fed, and oddly hopeful. Sometimes the internet really does throw you a rope.

2025

A year, 2,905 online sessions, and only five friends. Four gone, one left. It made me redefine what friendship means when platforms count sessions and I count the conversations that last.

2023

The notification chimed during my Pomodoro break, showing a familiar name after ten years. Memories flooded in, sharp and layered, like a movie reel of everything left unsaid.

2023

I’ve always felt driven by curiosity but lacked the skills to make ideas real. It’s a frustrating loop, yet awareness of it became my first step toward finishing what I start.

Volunteering

2024 — Present
Remote

I volunteer as a mentor in Uxcel’s global design community, offering focused feedback that helps learners sharpen their UX, product, and AI skills while building stronger portfolios.

Community

2025

I've been in and out of communities and this is the only platform that I check almost every day. They dub themselves as 1-on-1 English conversation practice via video chat, but recently they're emphasizing communication itself: connecting with people globally anytime, anywhere. Technically, I like this platform because it's so old-laptop friendly, like mine, lol. Others are either using Zoom or resource-heavy tech-stacks that make my device turbo go boom!

2023

Tiny Design Club was a community for those who want to develop and expand their career as a researcher, programmer or designer. Pioneered by two well-known local designers in the e-commerce scene, access to the community was only given to those who purchased their books as career support. I contributed to the community as a host for an English practice event for professionals. It was my first hosting debut! Raw, mistake-prone, but I feel lucky enough that I got to experience it.

2022

After spending some years on a career break, I felt disconnected from the industry, my interests, and even myself. I thought I needed something that could catapult me into a base where I could continue working on what I left off. Thus, I decided to join this paid community. It helped, sort of… being around people still actively designing reminded me this was still something I cared about.

Side Projects

2025

liat.in is my personal link shortener service. The word “liatin” roughly translates to ”take a look” in English. I've had this domain for a while now, and it's been used for many things. Now, it's back to its original purpose: to embody itself as a fun, functional, and readable domain.

2022

A public stash of things I bump into online: screenshots, articles, clips, songs. Mixed with small studies influenced by those finds, loose, personal, and sometimes the seed for new work.
