LJ Idol // Week 26 // Open - Explore

There’s a whole world out there to explore

I don’t often talk about the things I’ve done and the places I’ve been.

I don’t know why, but I do know that people are often surprised to learn of the adventures I’ve had and the things I’ve seen.

In the last few years I’ve travelled a fair bit, and I’ve an eye for adventure, but the truth is - the more I see, the more I am aware:

I’ve seen nothing at all.

So I don’t talk about it.

But I can show you a little.
I will show you five photos, all taken between February and August 2007.

This is Davis Falls in Belize. I stood at the top of it, once.
You’ve seen it before. I asked you if you wanted to jump.

Jump?

You see a place where I lived for a time.

Shortly after this a friend and I hopped a Chicken Bus to Guatemala City.
She kicked me in the ankle.
“What?” I asked.
She pointed.
A bullet rolled across the floor of the bus.

You can see a classroom we painted:

And in the end, at the side of Lake Windermere in England, a first world problem of the highest order:

Oops.
