AI-first, by judgment.
In plain English: I build production-grade software faster than traditional engineering, without lowering the bar. AI does the typing; I keep the architecture, review, and judgment.
DetailI operate AI-first: I architect the system, structure the context, and direct AI execution. The differentiation is not access to AI — everyone has that — it is the engineering judgment to know what to ask for, how to constrain it, and how to recognize when the output is wrong.
With deep context, small open models do the work that less-experienced operators need premium agents and large budgets to attempt — no slop, no acceleration tax.
AI is a force multiplier for engineers who already know the shape of the system, not a substitute for one. The shift to AI-first building is the defining technology transition of this decade; I'm operating inside it, not around it.

VONQ — HAPI Elements & EQO
OutcomeTurned multi-year partner integrations into weeks of work.
I architected HAPI Elements — a platform that lets hiring software vendors plug VONQ's job-campaign workflows directly into their own products, instead of rebuilding the integration from scratch. I also led the broader frontend re-architecture that now powers both HAPI Elements and EQO, VONQ's AI-driven recruiter platform.
Detail- Architected HAPI Elements, VONQ's production SDK and embeddable-widget platform that lets Applicant Tracking Systems integrate VONQ's Hiring API (campaigns, contracts, products, baskets, wallets, checkout, order journeys) as drop-in widgets — a Next.js / TypeScript / Tailwind monorepo with a MobX-backed SDK on
window.hapi, an iframe-based widget UI layer, a public@vonq/hapi-elements-typesnpm package consumed by integrators, a Fumadocs developer portal (marketing + integration guides + versioned changelogs + OpenAPI reference), and multi-environment Docker / AWS ECS deployments. Compressed partner integration timelines from years to weeks. - Defined and owned the public SDK surface with documented backwards-compatibility contracts (SDK functions, getters, setters, events,
window.hapi/window.hapiInjectorglobals, HTML / ARIA /data-*hooks, translation keys, state shapes, types package) and a typed deprecation cycle, so ATS integrations survive feature work without breakage. - Drove the end-to-end re-architecture of VONQ's frontend into a shared module system — domain services, state, events, validation, i18n (6 locales), and TypeScript types — reused by both HAPI Elements and EQO, eliminating duplication, raising quality, and turning new product surfaces into composition exercises rather than rewrites.
- Spearheaded EQO end-to-end (the AI-driven recruiter platform formerly known as KoPilot): job authoring, candidate flow, and ATS surfaces — reusing HAPI Elements' shared packages and adding AI agents that automate application and applicant-evaluation workflows.
- Owned partner onboarding as the technical point of contact, turning integration support from a recurring engineering tax into a documented, self-serve flow backed by the developer portal, regression tests guarding the public SDK surface, and a Playwright E2E suite for both Hiring Elements (browser UI) and the Hiring API (request mode).
FriendFinder Networks — Members & Models Interfaces
OutcomeReplaced decades of duplicated frontend code with one reusable system.
I led the frontend architecture for FriendFinder Networks' flagship dating properties — building a single component library now powering hundreds of affiliate and co-branded sites, and leading a multi-team senior engineering organization across time zones and product streams to unify how members and models experience the platform.
Detail- Architected the FFN Frontend Library (React + TypeScript + Tailwind with
tailwindcss-classnames, MobX, CSS Variables-driven theming), now powering the company's flagship adult-dating properties — a single component substrate for hundreds of affiliate/co-brand sites. - Led a multi-team senior frontend engineering organization across multiple time zones and the company's flagship product streams; established cross-department communication rituals with leads and managers to align short- and long-term roadmaps.
- Engineered reusable React modules — Messaging, ThemeManager, APIFacade, AxiosBridge, LayoutManager, Media Viewer/Manager — shipped into multiple production apps.
- Engineered a mobile + desktop live-streaming player at parity with Twitch and YouTube but optimized for mobile browsers — adaptive design with full portrait/landscape layouts, multi-zone tap and gesture interaction (tap, double-tap, swipe, pinch), layered z-index choreography across overlays / controls / chat / reactions, animated transitions, and runtime browser + version detection so quirks of older mobile WebViews degraded gracefully instead of breaking the live experience.
- Rewrote the broadcasting module from AngularJS into a customizable React module integrating WebRTC, WebSockets, Wowza, and Nanoplayer, unblocking reuse across products and removing a legacy maintenance liability — paired with the streaming player above to deliver a full live experience across desktop and mobile browsers.
- Architected a Storybook system tested with Jest / Enzyme so engineers could discover, copy, and ship components without breaking dependent apps; institutionalized code-review and peer-coding rituals.
- Drove the JS → TS migration, eliminated Bootstrap, Material UI, and redundant third-party packages in favor of the in-house library, measurably reducing bundle size and onboarding time.
- Planned and started migration of decades-old Perl codebases (the company's flagship adult-dating properties) to React / TypeScript on the shared library.

VQ Labs — HonestCash
OutcomeShipped an open-source publishing platform where writers earn crypto from readers.
I architected and built HonestCash end-to-end — a Medium-style platform where authors get paid in Bitcoin Cash through reader upvotes. Full ownership of backend, frontend, and crypto integration, with adjacent Ethereum smart-contract prototyping.
Detail- Architected and shipped HonestCash, an open-source Medium-style publishing platform where authors earn Bitcoin Cash via reader upvotes; designed and implemented both backend (Node.js, MySQL) and frontend (Angular 8 Universal, NgRx Store & Effects, Karma), with adjacent Ethereum smart-contract prototyping using Solidity, Truffle, Ganache, and web3.js.
- Open-sourced the platform at
honest-cash/honestcash, giving the codebase a public audit surface and continued discoverability after the company wound down.
UBI Automation — corporate site & admin dashboard
OutcomeDelivered a multilingual corporate site and internal dashboard for a manufacturing client.
Extracted the client's requirements, then designed and built a multilingual public website plus an internal dashboard the company uses to manage their project showcases. Live at ubiotomasyon.com.

TDSmaker — drag-and-drop datasheet platform
OutcomeTurned a drag-and-drop datasheet app into a complete paid SaaS product.
Rewrote TDSmaker's datasheet builder into a more reliable, richer drag-and-drop experience. Added user management, billing, customer-support tooling, and ten platform integrations so the product could grow as a paid SaaS — along with the marketing site and a mobile companion app.
Detail- Rewrote the drag-and-drop datasheet builder from jQuery to AngularJS, removing a class of stability bugs and unlocking a richer interaction model.
- Engineered an RBAC system enabling client admins to govern user access across CRUD operations on datasheets.
- Shipped customer-support tooling (log-in-as) and an accounting/billing dashboard, reducing support and finance friction.
- Integrated Stripe, Algolia, HubSpot, Intercom, Segment, Autopilot, Mailchimp, Swagger, Sentry, and several Google APIs into a single product surface.
- Built a custom SFTP-based multi-environment deploy script with CLI prompts and Slack notifications, including the published
gulp-sftp-with-callbackspackage for lifecycle callbacks around SFTP deploys — early-career DevX work that foreshadowed later platform thinking. - Refactored Node.js backend to async/await with concurrency primitives, eliminating callback-hell stalls and improving throughput on heavy datasheet exports.
- Shipped the supporting marketing site (Express + Jade/Pug) and an Ionic mobile companion app for viewing, sharing, and exporting datasheets as PDFs.
Selected projects, and public proofs.
Things I built that you can click on and verify — live sites, open-source code, a public npm package, and a demo video. Proof beats claims.

How I think about enterprise-scale problems — the system-level reasoning a recruiter would otherwise have to guess at.
- Architecture exists to serve business velocity, not the other way around.
- Build the substrate first: one component system, many product surfaces.
- Tech debt is a credit card; refactor before interest compounds.
- Observability and recoverability beat heroics.
- Documentation is part of the product; if it is not written down, it does not exist.
- AI is a force multiplier for engineers who already know the shape of the system, not a substitute for one. Slop is a workflow problem, not a model problem.
- Small models with rich context beat large models with shallow prompts. The architect's job is to compress the system's shape into the prompt, not to outsource judgment.
- Instruct, constrain, review. Architecture is the context; AI is the executor.
Continuous learning, by practice.
Self-taught across the full stack; absorbed multiple paradigms, languages, and runtimes by shipping production systems in each. I treat every new domain as a vocabulary to internalize — currently AI agent orchestration, humane organizational design, and durable knowledge systems.
The advantage of an autodidact path at this stage is range — production-grade depth across many languages, frameworks, databases, and product domains, plus the agency to assimilate disparate paradigms on demand.
