Okay. The general consensus (of three people, ha) seems to be that I should post these all at once. Sorry, dial-up users!

Well, ages and ages ago, I started making icons of the episode "Born Under a Bad Sign." And I went a little crazy--like, over 30 icons before the first commercial break kind of crazy. Which was awesome, but also kind of dumb, because soon after I started, real life kicked in, and there was no way I couldn't NOT continue at that volume. And no way I was just going to post just a few from the first part of the episode, because my brain is weird like that and just wouldn't let me. So I continued making them, in bits and pieces, until I finally finished just a few days ago.

And long story short (too late!), that's why--four months later--I'm posting 220 icons from the Supernatural episode "Born Under A Bad Sign." Also known as: The Jared Padalecki Power Hour.

I did it! I made the deadline. 100 icons of Lilly Kane! This is my roundup post for all of 'em.

I'll be the first one to admit that this looks nothing like a cohesive set, which is something I'm a bit disappointed about. But there are a few valid reasons for that. First, when it comes to making 100x100 boxes, one's style and technique can change quite a bit in 10 weeks. Also-- and this is the biggun'-- pretty much every scene Lilly's in is shot in a different, trippy cinematographic style. Just trying to wrangle a decent looking icon out of some caps was difficult enough. A consistent style was nearly impossible.

In short, this was probably the most challenging iconning project I've taken on to date, but I enjoyed the hell out of it, and I learned even MORE about Photoshop in the process. And hey, who could complain about getting to look at Amanda Seyfried all the time?

Anywho, onto the icons.

So, I was home sick today. And probably will be tomorrow. I think my nose and throat made a suicide pact without my knowing of it and are now trying to follow through on it. I mean, I was feeling kinda crappy yesterday morning, but it wore off. But then I had to spend almost an hour outside waiting for my ride to show up after rehearsal. So that probably made it worse. Well, either that or my mom's pneumonia is catchy. I'm hoping it's just a bad cold.

Anyway, icons! I've been making these over the past few days and finished last night, amidst much sniffling. For the most part, I'm actually really proud of this batch. Garden State, baby. Seventeen icons worth.

They're mostly of the soundtrack titles (an idea that I believe is credited to teh_indy). Lots of gradients and stock images.

I've been spending the whole day making potatoes and fudge and ICONS.

I tried to pick interests that were obscure or something that you had few icons of. Of course, sometimes I was lazy and just wanted to use pictures I already had.

Well, folks. I'm doing it. I'm unleashing my plague out unto the ~~world~~ fandom. This secret has been kept long enough.

No, not my plan for world domination.

What I bring to you, loyal readers, is something far worse.

A Pirates of the Caribbean comic.

Yes, you heard me right. Thanks to Disney Adventures magazine, I have been receiving (via my little brother) these sad little stories for about four months. And let me tell you, they are horrendous. In the most enjoyable way possible. They are my own personal crack, something I wait for with each issue (my brother is lucky to even get his hands on the magazine before I rip these little badly drawn anecdotes out). The wonderful horridity is beyond words. I would try to explain the appeal, but I think I'd just end up giggling.

Hence, I have decided to (finally) post scans of the first issue. I have no idea exactly how long these files have been sitting on my hard-drive, but it has been awhile. Why did I not release them before? I do not know. Maybe I was afraid. Maybe I wanted to keep them to myself. Maybe I just procrastinate far too much. Nevertheless, here they are. In all their horrid glory.
