We love working with SBD because they make our communities feel upscale but also feel like home. They cater each building design to the area it’s located, and they don’t order out of a catalogue, so each community design is unique. The jaw-dropping response we get when a family or resident walks into the building for the first time makes all of their effort worth it.

Cody Cotten
Sr. VP Project and Asset Management
Civitas Senior Living

I’ve worked with SBD many times over the last 3.5 years all across the country while doing installs in AL, MC and IL. Each and every time I see their design come to life I am blown away! The team at SBD takes the time to learn the market and the people of that area and really caters their design to reflect that! Install day with SBD is the most anticipated day in the process of designing, building an opening a new senior living community, it’s the day the community truly become a HOME! I have also been witness to the transformation SBD is able to accomplish with renovations of older buildings! To see the detail and thought they put into trying to make each renovation it’s own and again keep the uniqueness to each project is amazing! I look forward to a continued partnership with SBD in the years to come.

I was in awe as I toured the Harvest of Roanoke. As I walked through the Community, the colors and textures gave me a sense of excitement and instantly refreshed me after a long day. More than anything else, the private dining room was my favorite spot in the building. The deep colors and set up of the room made me feel as if I could dine with friends and family for hours. I am so excited for our employees, residents, and guests…

The SBD team hit a home run with the interior design of Stone Creek of Flying Horse Assisted Living/Memory Care building located in Colorado Springs Co.
There are big mountain views of Pikes Peak and the Air Force Academy from this Community. Besides the spectacular setting, the interior design team did an incredible job at capturing the heart of Colorado and ringing it into the building.

SBD has designed and installed a number of our senior communities in a number of geographic locations. What they do is simply unmatched. The spaces they create are reflective of the surrounding community and strike the often elusive balance of both aesthetic appeal and functionality for our resident population. From a Sales perspective, our prospects (and their loved ones) are often quite “wowed” when they enter a SBD community – effectively imprinting not only a positive first, but lasting impression that helps tighten the sales cycle. We believe the interior spaces of our communities should be a reflection of the services and amenities we provide, leaving our prospects feeling safe, comfortable, and excited about the possibility of their new home with us- SBD plays an intricate part of this formula and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Robb Sames
Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing
Civitas Senior Living

“Detailed, specific & honest” I love this group of people, they are a true example of kindness and professionalism.

“Stellar service” SBD knows how to get the job well done.  They are truly visionaries on how to make your project feel like home.

“Beautiful designs & Kind hearts” working with SBD is always refreshing. I always feel like they really care about my needs and they always make me feel important when working together.

“SBD, Excellence by nature & Driven by inspiration” I couldn’t ask to work with a better team of designers who bring visions to life!

Over the past three years, Ridgemont Construction has enjoyed the pleasure of working with SBD on several new construction projects. Our most recent community, The Harvest of Roanoke Assisted Living and Memory Care, located in Roanoke, Texas was another true success! This 72,000 sf community is truly beautiful thanks to the creativity and hard work from SBD. As the general construction team for the build, we cannot say enough good things about SBD. Ridgemont has worked with many interior design teams over the years, and without question, SBD continually meets or exceeds our standards and expectations for the specific design concepts requested by the Owner and Developer. Their designs make us excited to come to work to see what they have come up with for these very important senior living facilities.

SBD seamlessly coordinated and completed design concepts from the construction side, making this a truly enjoyable project. From excellent communication of the specific detailed design concept, to the orientation and implementation of those designs, SBD coordinated very well with our construction team to bring together an end result that was nothing less than AMAZING! The creativity and hard work of their lead designer in New Construction, paired with the “WOW” factor delivered by the SBD FF&E design team produced an overwhelmingly successful project and effortless working relationship. SBD even went above and beyond at the Roanoke project by researching the area’s history and incorporating ranching design elements and décor that was purchased from local families and had been on the land for generations. This was nothing short of spectacular and is just one example of taking it to the next level.

These types of results are what we all hope to achieve at the end of any project. Without question, SBD has a professional team of experienced designers who are an absolute joy to work with. Ridgemont looks forward to continuing our relationship for many years to come, and we are excited to see the next design concepts for our future collaborative builds.

We are pleased to recommend SBD to any developer, construction team, architectural team, or construction management team to handle their interior design needs. Please feel free to contact my office directly if you have any questions regarding their past performances or project history.

Reid Bonner

President

SBD President Reid Bonner is passionate about creating soulful spaces that tell a story. He enjoys adding one of a kind pieces, carefully selected all over the world, to inspire residents. Reid brings energy and impeccable attention to detail to each installation. When Reid isn’t leading the design team or searching for the perfect piece, he loves spending time with his horses or on his John Deere tractor.

Glenn Segler

COO

Chief Operating Officer Glenn Segler brings a commitment to teamwork, efficiency, and communication to Senior By Design. Before joining SBD in 2015, Glenn worked in the medical device industry and at GE, Citi, and Tenet, where he developed his skills in overseeing operations and streamlining workflow. In addition to improving efficiency and communication, Glenn works to maintain a family-like atmosphere at SBD. He balances his “obsession with structure” with a love for skiing, happy hours, and laughing — sometimes at his own expense.

Steven Allen

Creative Director

Design Director Steven enjoys seeing other designs reach their potential and working together to create a beautiful space. Steven is known for finding the perfect statement piece, often from a resale or antique shop, that enhances a room. He loves working on installs and seeing the story a room has to tell. Outside of work, Steven enjoys traveling to the beach and the not-so-occasional shopping spree.

Erin Kelly

Designer

Erin is a passionate designer with a love for color, organic spaces, and thoughtful design. After completing her degree in Environmental + Interior Design at Chaminade University of Honolulu, she found lasting inspiration in Hawai‘i’s rich culture and deep sense of community.

Whether designing vibrant, welcoming spaces or quiet, restorative ones, she always centers the client’s needs and experience. Outside of design, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her cat Tux.

Kayla Winter

Her work is guided by a design philosophy rooted in empathy, creating spaces that authentically reflect the lives and values of those who inhabit them.
With a keen eye for balance, symmetry, and refined detail, Kayla specializes in crafting resilient, future-forward interiors that are both functional and inspiring. She gravitates toward jewel tones, timeless patterns, cozy textures, and elements that add a touch of sparkle — all thoughtfully curated to elevate the character of a space.
Outside of design, Kayla enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and spending quiet time at home with her two dogs, Maya and Henry.
