Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Founder and CTO Philippe Lafoucrière brings over two decades of entrepreneurial and engineering experience to the smart home automation space. A serial founder since university, Philippe started Gemnasium in 2011—a pioneering dependency scanning company in the software supply chain industry—which was later acquired by GitLab in 2018.
As a Distinguished Engineer at GitLab for seven years, Philippe worked closely with OCV's founder and general partner, Sid Sijbrandij, an experience that profoundly shaped his approach to building transparent and vision-driven open core companies.

Gunnar Beck Nelson

Gunnar Beck Nelson (BS, MS, MRes) is a computer engineer focused on building intelligent, scalable systems across enterprise and research environments. His work spans across machine learning, computer vision, embedded systems, and distributed cloud architecture, with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and production-grade execution.
With a background bridging advanced engineering research and real-world software deployment, he specializes in translating complex technical systems into secure, scalable infrastructure, designed for practical operation. He has led and executed the development, architecture, and secure deployment of production-grade AI-integrated enterprise systems within the US federal government.
