Still at Dragoncon in Altanta... and I must say that I was quite impressed with John Levene from Dr. Who (Sgt. Denton). He went to a panel in a dress shirt and tie (plus trousers you naughty souls) and was just a classy gent. When I went for his autograph, once again he was in a dress shirt... with CUFF LINKS. Seriously... those of you that have gone to a con... do you ever see any actor that dressed up for the con?

I told him that I thought he added a bit of class to the who panel and he admitted that he felt out of his depth when Gareth David=Lloyd and Noel Coward were getting 'durty'. I assured him that there was a large group there that appreciated his classiness.

I must run out for Sgt. Denton Dr. Who vids when I get home.

also Peter Davidson and Sylvester Mccoy played a duet. Peter on his guitar and Sylvester on his spoons.
Finally saw it today. Ramblings:

You can tell they put a lot of effort into the scenery. That ship scene in the beginning? Chilling!

Colm Wilkinson as the Priest! For the Win! (Though Garry Morris is my Jean ValJean sorry)

Hugh Jackman, see above. He's got a good voice, but I grew up on the symphonic edition of Les Mis. Blew out my speakers with Philip Quast as Javert so... good try.

Russell. Love the way you fill out that uniform. Really. But, however, Philip Quast will always be Javert, and while I am a Terrence Mann fan grrrl, still PQ is Javert. So, PQ, close second of TM and then there's RC. Who tried. And really filled out the uniform quite nicely and did a lovely swan dive... but seriously... Philip Quast, Russell. Philip Quast.

Some changes from the Broadway show... (rather noticeable as I was mouthing the lyrics), few scenes I don't remember ever reading... but I read Les Mis as a summer self-improvement project a while ago.....

Anne Hathaway nailed Fantine with a turbo powered nail gun. Really. Liked the young Cosette...

Fearing the worst, as I am a paranoid symbiote, I over-prepared. 60 lbs ( ~ 28 kgs) of ice was distributed amongst both freezers, multiple flashlights were bought (as they walk), everything electronic was charged, and we waited.....

Thank God it wasn't as bad as they were predicting. They were predicting up to 80 MPH gusts (~140 kms) of wind. I live by a forest full of old oak and maple trees - lots of 40+ feet tall (12 meters+) who would put a big dent in my house.

Fortunately all the trees stayed upright. Lost power for a brief spell (only an hour - nothing like 4-5 days we're experienced in the past) so all in all, we're good here. Hope all is well with you all.

I just had to share that as I nearly laughed out loud at her. I already did about something else and she stomped her feet. ;)
