Thinking About Projects
Other projects that is
I’ve been thinking - always a dangerous proposition. I have about 21 short stories. They have all been published individually and many of them were published in small collections. But they have not been selling either on Amazon or on my own sales page on my website. What if I combined them all into one large anthology? I think a full sized book might go over better with readers. What do you think?

Also, on that same subject, which stories should I include? They encompass a number of different genres: Mystery/Crime, Horror, Fantasy, and even some Literary Fiction. I think I can make a case for including the Horror, Fantasy and Crime in one anthology, but what about the Literary Fiction? Does that belong in the same anthology? I suppose that if it is representing all of my work it does. What do you all think?
Regarding Generation Zee - still no progress, except thinking about it. Somehow I find myself too busy to sit down and write. Hmmm. I hope it isn’t because I have lost interest in the project - I have invested too much in it, both time and emotion: the dream of publishing it, all the research both for topics in the story (MAPS!) and on how to self-publish/market it. I have to get it done!
And regarding projects, most of my writing lately has been for either this newsletter, my other newsletter (Going Gluten Free - The Good, Bad and Sometimes Ugly) or the blog posts for Syloquies.com. Plus I’ve been working on research to find and add a supernatural aspect to my cozy mystery, Secrets in Slacksville (my next novel to be finished when Generation Zee is finally published).

Did I say here that I finally reached a decision on what to add? If not, here it is: I am making my main character Wiccan and she discovers while doing her murder investigation in the book that she is a witch with actual powers. I have always found this an interesting subject and am thoroughly enjoying the research to get it right. There are a lot of details to understand about this religion and I am excited about sharing it correctly through this first book and the ones I have planned in the future.
That’s about all I have this time. Next issue will Water Earth: Rhia, the end of Chapter 2. I hope you all enjoy it. Let me know!
