I had this spreadsheet showing how much we\u2019d have available each quarter but it just wasn\u2019t working.\u00a0And I was getting pretty stressed out about it.<\/p>\n<p>But then I added 6 more months to my spreadsheet and everything balanced out. \u201cI could just finish the van in 2015\u201d \u2014 why had that never occurred to me? We know that two years from now it won\u2019t matter if our next product launches on time or not. Yet it feels incredibly urgent right now. And it <em>is<\/em> urgent, in a sense, because we&#8217;re delivering something our customers really need. And making steady progress on that&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/ejohn.org\/blog\/write-code-every-day\/\">day to day progress<\/a>&#8211;is the only way to get it done.
