Sea Communities and Les Village
Sea Communities works in partnership with the local community groups of Les Village. We partner with the fisherfolk group on our reef rehabilitation program. We collaborate with the salt farming community group to introduce tourism to a heritage livelihood that is in danger of dying out. We team with the local village government and its corporate arm, BUMDES. We work with local village businesses that provide homestays, transportation, guides and translators. We work with local women who now run successful restaurants.
Les village was awarded by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism ADWI Best Tourism Village of Indonesia in 2024, with special mention of our coral restoration and monitoring collaboration with international institutions, and our salt farming tourism program.
Sea Communities and Les Village
Sea Communities comprises a group of conservation-minded individuals. We come from all walks of life: diving, education, and community mediation. We are experienced in providing school and university field trip programs between 3 days to two weeks. Our schools and universities come from all over the world, including Australia, Singapore, USA, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Canada and Europe. Most of our school and university clients are repeat visitors, building up a continuity in programs for their students to be able to see the fruits of their work and study.

We have extensive experience in facilitating community service requirements of International Baccalaureate schools as well as the Singapore Ministry of Education and can provide activities, in consultation with our school partners, to meet these requirements.
