    Who we are

    Learn More

SCIA is a for-purpose organisation working for people living with spinal cord injury and other neuro conditions. We were founded by people with SCI in 1967; people with disability make up over 23% of our staff, and the majority of our Board have a spinal cord injury.

    Our Community

    About SCIA's Community

Joining our community means becoming part of a nationwide community built by and for people with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions.

Membership is free for individuals with lived-experience and their family or carers, and just $10 per year for professionals — so every voice and perspective is welcomed.

As a member, you will help shape SCIA’s direction, contribute to decisions at our annual meetings and stand with others working toward a barrier-free future.

    For Organisations

At SCIA, we work alongside organisations to build truly inclusive workplaces. Whether you’re crafting accessible spaces, delivering sector-specific inclusion training, managing wheelchair-accessible transport, or sourcing trusted industry solutions with our Social Enterprise, we tailor support that empowers your team and reflects the real needs of people with lived-experience.
