"Schooner Wharf is a slice of Key West before million-dollar
condos began sprouting up like kudzu.... it's as funky as a
pair of well-worn flips and every bit as comfortable, just a
ramshackle open-sided bar, small stage and umbrella-covered
tables set on a gravel patio. The menu is identical to those
of dozens of other Keys dives.... The difference is the
Schooner does them better. The oysters and shrimp are
impeccably fresh, the chowder flavorful and spicy, and the
fritters are actually worth eating. The mojo-marinated fish
