She would get stuck doing all the director\u2019s tasks, even though she was already tired. Plus, she would have to go through the exhausting process of hiring a replacement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It all sounded like too much.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While she knew there was a discrepancy in values, she was considering continuing to put up with it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I invited her to journal about the situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the left side of her page, I asked her to write \u201cWhat do my fear and my ego say?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the right side of her page, I asked her to write, \u201cWhat does my higher self say?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She spent some time expressing her thoughts on paper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It gave her the clarity she needed: it was vital that she let the director go.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After journaling, she had so much more clarity, assurance, poise, and ease around the decision and the challenging conversation to follow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Journaling is one of the great strategies I use for managing the challenging\u2014and often conflicting\u2014emotions that come up when we have to make big decisions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this week&#8217;s podcast episode, I discuss additional methods of navigating complex emotions while we\u2019re in the decision-making process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Join me for a conversation about:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How mindfulness can impact your ability to make wise decisions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A calendaring strategy that encourages decision breakthroughs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why speedy decision-making doesn\u2019t correlate to intelligence or wisdom<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ways to assess when you need to make the decision<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Resources and links mentioned in this episode:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Are you facing a big decision right now?
