Chris Milyo is a saxophonist, bandleader, and educator active in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. His style blends traditional roots and the big sound of the Texas tenor along with contemporary elements, creating an energetic and eclectic experience for jazz fans and casual listeners alike. Milyo has had the opportunity to play along side musical greats such as Jimmy Cobb, Eddie Gomez, Curtis Fuller, Randy Brecker, Ali Jackson, Ellis Marsalis, Ron Westray, Delfaeyo Marsalis, Cyrus Chestnut and many more.

Brad Williams is gifted pianist and has been a staple in the jazz scene locally for quite some time. He performs, records, composes and teaches jazz. When Brad plays, his passion for the music comes through. This night Brad and his Quartet, featuring Rich McClure on guitar, honor the greatness jazz legends Chick Corea and Pat Metheny. Bishop Avenue Hot SIX formed in December of 2019 with the sole purpose of preserving an American art form known as early jazz. Consisting of trumpet, clarinet, trombone, piano, upright bass and drums, the bands goal is to stay as authentic as possible while keeping the band stage hot with not only styles from New Orleans, but to also include Chicago, New York and San Francisco styles as well. The band is inspired by the likes of Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong and his Hot 5 (and 7), Bix Beiderbecke, Turk Murphy to name a few. Cocktails and feet tapping! 21 & up only.

Saxophonist Quamon Fowler has been honing his craft most of his life. He was mentored by legendary clarinetist Alvin Batiste, performing in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, sparking the release of his debut album "Introducing Quamon Fowler". He was selected as a Panasonic Young Soloist, later performing at the Kennedy Center, and joined the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program. His composition The Reinforcement received recognition from the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards, further cementing his path. Quamon won the North American Saxophone Alliance Jazz Competition, toured with legends like Curtis Fuller and James Moody, and secured 3rd place in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. He lives and breaths it you can just feel it. 21 & up only.

The John Adams Trio plays Oscar Peterson & Ray Brown – "We Get Requests" (and other albums) Tonight's musical tribute features John Adams on upright bass, Stefan Karlsson on piano Steve Barnes on drums. "We Get Requests" is a celebrated 1964 jazz album by the Oscar Peterson Trio, featuring bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen. Known for its impeccable "telepathic" rapport, the album features popular songs of the day, bossa nova tunes, and film themes, with popular tracks including "The Girl From Ipanema" and "You Look Good to Me". Matthew Banks is a Dallas based jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, and bassoonist. A native Texan, Matt specializes in Swing and other early varieties of jazz, often playing on instruments a hundred years old or more to evoke the sound of the era. Come by for the finest swing anthems of the 30s, frenetic Bebop of the 40s, gut-bucket Blues and more. This is a historical and musical journey that is always a blast. 21 & up only.

In music, Sheran has worked with gospel greats Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond, blues great Lucky Peterson, and many more. Not only do they explore classic jazz standards and original materials, but they are able to infuse historical and modern components to their unique arrangements. This dynamic duo will be joined tonight with their world class Tentet. Featuring a stellar group of some of finest talent in the DFW metroplex.
With a unique style and sound that echo the influences of his past, Brad Leali is one of the most notable saxophonists of current times. Leali toured and recorded with numerous jazz greats, including several years with Harry Connick, Jr. and later with the Count Basie Orchestra. Leali was a standing member of the Kennedy Center Honors Band and performed for President Obama’s first inaugural celebration. He tours and is a featured soloist with the Grammy-winning musician and actor, Lyle Lovett.

Grammy-nominated singer/song-writer, Carla Helmbrecht, began her love affair with music at a young age.
