[What is ScanSnap Cloud]
ScanSnap Cloud is a service that allows you to quickly, easily, and neatly register various types of scanned paper to various cloud services (accounting/personal asset management/business card management/document management/photo management) using the personal document scanner ScanSnap.
Using this application, you can easily configure the settings for using ScanSnap Cloud and check the usage status.

[Required environment]
To use ScanSnap Cloud, you will need the following:
●Wi-Fi compatible ScanSnap main unit
●Wi-Fi environment that allows you to connect to the Internet
●Cloud service account you would like to use in conjunction

[Features of ScanSnap Cloud]
●Once you have made the initial settings with this application, you can automatically classify the data scanned by ScanSnap Cloud and register it with your desired cloud service just by pressing the scan button on the ScanSnap.

*In the case of iX500, depending on the time of purchase, there may be cases where there is no label stating the SSID and SECURITY KEY. In this case, be sure to connect it to your computer and perform the initial settings.
After completing the initial settings using a computer, you can install this application and use the ScanSnap Cloud functions.

●ScanSnap Cloud allows you to scan and register image data to a cloud service without a computer, smartphone, or tablet, as long as you have a compatible ScanSnap and a Wi-Fi environment that can connect to the Internet.
(A computer, smartphone, or tablet is required for configuration tasks including initial settings.)
● Automatically identifies the type of paper being scanned and classifies it into four types: receipts, business cards, photos, and documents. Then, image data is automatically registered in the cloud service registered for each classification.
● Automatically determines paper size, orientation, double-sided/single-sided, color/monochrome, and generates optimal image data.
●You can automatically give easy-to-understand file names to scanned image data. The file name is automatically generated from the date and title of the document, the company name or name on the business card, the date of the receipt, etc.
●This application will notify you of the results when ScanSnap Cloud receives the image data and when the image data is registered in the linked cloud service.
●Scanned data is retained on ScanSnap Cloud for two weeks. If the cloud service you are using is unavailable due to maintenance, or if it is mistakenly classified/registered as a service other than your desired one, you can register the image data to the desired cloud service again from this application.

*ScanSnap Cloud automatically processes scanned data using advanced analysis technology, but depending on the content of the paper, incorrect processing may occur. After scanning, we recommend checking whether the image data is properly registered in the cloud service of your choice.

●Scanned data can be automatically converted to searchable PDF (OCR processing) on ​​ScanSnap Cloud. This allows you to perform searches later using the character strings extracted from the manuscript.

*Depending on the conditions of the scanned document, characters may not be recognized correctly.

-Using this application, you can register image data taken with the camera function of your smart device to the cloud service configured via ScanSnap Cloud (the camera function can be used with Wi-Fi compatible ScanSnap). (Available only to customers who have one.)

●Follow the guidance displayed after starting this application and perform the initial settings.
●After initial settings, you can register image data to your desired cloud service by simply pressing the [Scan] button on the ScanSnap.
