Obox (obox.co.za) is looking for a talented, self-motivated and detail-orientated Website Developer.

Our ideal candidate has extensive experience at building high quality websites using Elementor, WooCommerce and Shopify, bonus if you have built with Webflow and Framer. You need to be a self-starter, understand how to communicate clearly, meet deadlines, handle feedback constructively and understand the level of detail that building websites takes. Ideally you also have an understanding of website related administration tools such as setting up DNS records, Email records, Database setups (PHPMyAdmin etc.) and FTP clients.

Bonus points if you have experience working with clients, either through freelance work or agency experience.

🧑‍💻 Experience Requirements:

• 3+ Years of website building with Shopify, Elementor and WooCommerce (bonus for Webflow + Framer)
• 3+ Years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge
• 3+ Years of experience working with teams or clients
• 3+ Years of experience using Google tools such as Drive, Calendar and Meet
• 2+ Years of design using Figma
• Understanding of website administration tools to manage DNS, Email and FTP uploads (ideal)
• Understanding of PHP (ideal)
• Understanding of the basics of sysadmin such as Apache and NGinx (optional)

• Setup shipping, payment gateways and notifications on ecommerce sites
• Write neat, clean code to solve problems that can’t be achieved with default page builder functionality
• Debug issues on sites and write briefs to avoid repeat mistakes
• Help team mates with problem solving and quality assurance
• Provide input on website designs, ideas and execution
• Review project plans and provide input on estimated build times
