In my email this morning, I said I’d watched Playing Gracie Flynn. Wrong! I watched Playing Gracie Darling.

How did I make this mistake? Because a book called The Ghost of Gracie Flynn by my friend Joanna Morrison has been in my head recently — mainly because I’m about to start reading it!

Peculiarly, both the show and the book are Australian stories about people who lost a friend called Gracie in their formative years and come back together years later. The book came out in 2022 and the series was produced last year, but apart from having ghosts called Gracie in the title, they are unrelated!
